Paul Goldschmidt blasted his second Cactus League homer on Tuesday, helping to propel the Diamondbacks to an 8-7 victory over the Angels.

He also picked up a pair of singles, finishing the contest 3-for-5. The 27-year-old slugger is now hitting .255 (13-for-51) with two long balls and five RBI on the spring. Goldschmidt appears to be fully recovered from the fractured hand that cut his 2014 season short, and should be one of the first few names called in all fantasy drafts.

Chase Anderson was hammered in Tuesday's Cactus League start against the Rangers, allowing six runs on 11 hits in just four innings of work.

Anderson walked one and struck out a pair on the day. It wasn't exactly the way the right-hander wanted to celebrate securing a spot in the Opening Day rotation. The 27-year-old now sports a 4.34 ERA and 12/5 K/BB ratio over 18 2/3 innings on the spring. He should be considered a fringe option in NL-only leagues heading into the regular season.

Delino Deshields Jr. had a strong day at the dish in Tuesday's Cactus League loss to the Diamondbacks, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

The 22-year-old also scored a pair of runs and swiped his third base of the spring season. The Rule 5 pick is expected to earn a spot on the Rangers' Opening Day roster, though isn't likely to play enough to deliver mixed league value. He could be a cheap source of speed in the reserve rounds of AL-only drafts.
Mar 31 - 10:58 PM

Nick Martinez turned in his roughest outing of the spring on Tuesday, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings against the Diamondbacks.

Martinez also issued three free passes while striking out two. Even with the abomination, he still owns a 4.20 ERA and 11/4 K/BB ratio over 15 innings in Cactus League play. He'll open the season as the fifth starter in the Rangers rotation but is unlikely to carry any mixed league fantasy value, especially pitching half of his games in Arlington.
Mar 31 - 10:55 PM

Mark Canha launched a three-run homer on Tuesday, leading the Athletics to a 13-10 victory over the Angels in Cactus League action.

Canha and teammate Luke Carlin each left the yard against Angels closer Huston Street in the third inning. Canha, a Rule 5 Draft selection, has earned his way onto the A's roster this spring by hitting .275 with five homers and 12 RBI. But it will require an injury to Billy Butler or Ike Davis though for him to find his way into significant at-bats.
Mar 31 - 10:48 PM

Barry Zito was clobbered by the Angels in Tuesday's Cactus League outing, allowing seven runs on eight hits over his four innings of work.

The Angels socked three home runs off him in the third inning, then tacked on an additional three runs in the fourth before Zito departed. The 36-year-old entered the day with a 2.30 ERA and 0.70 WHIP, and had nearly pitched his way onto the Opening Day roster. He now owns a 5.03 ERA and faces an uncertain future.
Mar 31 - 10:45 PM

David Freese launched a two-run homer off Barry Zito as the Angels fell to the Athletics in a slugfest during Tuesday's Cactus League tilt.

Freese's blast was one of three long balls off the veteran southpaw in the third inning, joined by Kole Calhoun and Collin Cowgill. He finished the afternoon 1-for-2, raising his spring average to .326 (14-for-43). A forgotten man in most mixed league drafts, Freese could return a tidy profit as a reserve round selection hitting in the middle of the Angels lineup.
Mar 31 - 10:36 PM

Huston Street had another rough Cactus League outing on Tuesday, allowing four runs on three hits in his inning of work against the Athletics.

All of the damage against the veteran right-hander came on home runs, with Luke Carlin swatting a solo home run and Mark Canha adding a three-run shot. The 31-year-old right-hander now owns a dreadful 8.10 ERA on the spring with a 1/3 K/BB ratio in his 6 2/3 innings. While spring results aren't anything to get overly concerned about, Street owners may want to lock up Joe Smith as a handcuff for security purposes.
