Mariners activated 1B Ryon Healy from the 10-day disabled list.

Healy missed a little over two weeks of action with a Grade 2 sprain of his right ankle. The 26-year-old first baseman was off to a brutal start with Seattle even before the injury, slashing just .091/.130/.136.

Mariners optioned 1B Daniel Vogelbach to Triple-A Tacoma.

The move opens a 25-man roster spot for Ryon Healy, who has been activated from the disabled list in a corresponding move. Vogelbach was batting just .204/.317/.352 through 63 plate appearances this season with Seattle.

Asdrubal Cabrera (hamstring) is back in the Mets' starting lineup Thursday against the Cardinals.

Cabrera was held out of Wednesday's game because of a minor hamstring injury. He will start at second base and bat third versus Carlos Martinez in Thursday afternoon's series finale at Busch Stadium. The 32-year-old currently leads the National League with a .349 batting average.

Michael Conforto is out of the Mets' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the Cardinals.

Brandon Nimmo will start in center field and bat leadoff versus Cardinals right-hander Carlos Martinez. Conforto went yard in his season debut on April 5, but he has batted just .204 with zero home runs in 16 games since.

Reds optioned INF Cliff Pennington to Triple-A Louisville.

The move clears a 25-man roster spot for Eugenio Suarez, who was activated off the disabled list Thursday morning. Pennington went 4-for-29 (.138) with zero extra-base hits in four weeks with Cincinnati.

Reds optioned OF Phillip Ervin to Triple-A Louisville.

Ervin made the Reds' Opening Day roster out of camp this spring, but he batted just .211/.318/.237 with zero home runs and one stolen base during his four-week stay at the MLB level. Rosell Herrera has taken his spot.
Apr 26 - 10:31 AM

Reds purchased the contract of INF/OF Rosell Herrera from Triple-A Louisville.

Herrera was batting .311/.373/.607 with three home runs, 10 RBI, two stolen bases, and eight runs scored through 15 games this season at the Triple-A level, but the 25-year-old probably won't get enough playing time to offer meaningful fantasy value. This is his first MLB callup.
Apr 26 - 10:29 AM

Tigers recalled RHP Johnny Barbato from Triple-A Toledo.

Barbato will join the Detroit bullpen ahead of Thursday afternoon's series finale against the Pirates. He had a sharp 1.17 ERA and nine strikeouts through 7 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level.
