Leonys Martin (wrist) is not in the Rangers' starting lineup on Tuesday against the Astros.

Martin injured his left wrist Monday while trying to make a catch. X-rays turned up negative, but he has some soreness. Delino DeShields Jr. is in center field and batting ninth for the Rangers on Tuesday night.

Steve Pearce is out Tuesday with a stomach virus.

The illness drove him from Sunday's series finale against the Rays and he's still apparently dealing with some symptoms. Pearce will aim to return on Wednesday.
May 5 - 4:09 PM

David Wright (hamstring) is expected to begin running the bases by Thursday.

And if he looks good doing that, he could start playing in rehab games by the weekend. Wright has been on the disabled list since April 14 because of a right hamstring strain. He's around 10 days from rejoining the Mets.
May 5 - 4:07 PM

Jose Iglesias (groin) is not the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Iglesias left Sunday's game against the Royals after feeling tightness in his left groin. He was hopeful that he would be able to start on Tuesday, but the Tigers are going to give him at least another day of rest. Andrew Romine starts in his place.
May 5 - 4:00 PM

Blue Jays sent INF Steve Tolleson outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

The Blue Jays designated Tolleson for assignment on April 24. He got 16 plate appearances with the team this season and didn't do much with them, but over 170 at-bats in 2014, he hit .253/.308/.371. He offers some versatility and his bat plays OK for a utility role.
May 5 - 3:54 PM

Jose Bautista (shoulder) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

Bautista is dealing with a sore right shoulder, but this could just be a day off for match-up reasons. Facing Yankee starter Michael Pineda, Baustista is just 2-for-17 in his career. Edwin Encarnacion moves to DH in Bautista's place.
May 5 - 3:47 PM

Jayson Werth is out of the Nationals' lineup on Tuesday.

Just your typical off-day here for Werth. The outfielder underwent shoulder surgery in January and the Nationals make sure to spell him from time to time. Werth is hitting just .176/.247/.203 in 74 at-bats this season. Michael Taylor will get the start in his place.
May 5 - 3:38 PM

Allen Craig is in the starting lineup and playing left field in Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Craig homered on Friday, but he's been largely ineffective in his bench role for the Red Sox. This season, he's hitting just .146/.222/.220 in 41 at-bats. His years of hitting in the .300's for the Cardinals feel like they occurred in another lifetime.
