Jeremy Lin played in his first game of 2017 with seven points, two rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

He looked fine and obviously the Nets were going to manage his minutes. He is expected to play in the second half of a back-to-back on Saturday, but expect his minutes to be limited against the Warriors in a homecoming game. He's not a complete must-own player in shallow leagues due to how the Nets will be careful with him.

Sean Kilpatrick scored five points with two turnovers in 18 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday.

He was at his best earlier this season just after Jeremy Lin got hurt back in November, but Kilpatrick hasn't really shown much in the last two months. He's not really worth owning with the Nets somewhat healthy.
Feb 25 - 2:13 AM

Isaiah Whitehead scored 12 points with two rebounds, three assists and four turnovers in 19 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday.

He played the entire fourth quarter, so that playing time is misleading. Whitehead is the third point guard on the depth chart, which makes him a cut candidate in even super deep leagues.

Garrett Temple (left hamstring) will not play on Saturday vs. the Hornets.

He still doesn't have a timetable to return even though he was scheduled to be re-evaluated after the All-Star break. Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Ben McLemore will benefit the most in his absence (in that order).
Feb 25 - 2:07 AM

Tyler Johnson made 9-of-11 from the field for 23 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers during an easy 108-90 win over the Hawks on Friday.

Even with some garbage time, Johnson still picked up 16 minutes next to Goran Dragic, who scored 17 points with six rebounds and three assists. Johnson is really starting to heat up over his last five, averaging 17.4 points, 4.8 boards, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys on 51.7 percent from the field and 90.5 percent from the line. Even when Josh Richardson starts humming again, it shouldn't affect TJ too much. He should be owned in all leagues.
Feb 25 - 2:06 AM

Dion Waiters made 6-of-19 from the field for 14 points with three rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

The Heat didn't unleash Josh Richardson (foot) in his first game back, but that will be something to watch. Also, the 10 assists is a season high for Waiters during this blowout win. There's still a chance to sell high on Waiters after a big-time start to 2017.
Feb 25 - 2:00 AM

Hassan Whiteside scored just two points with 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 25 minutes against the Hawks on Friday.

He was just 1-of-9 from the field for his season-low scoring night. At least he was +20 in the +/- stat and he brought it up to coach Erik Spoelstra after the game. "That gets him more excited than the 20/20s," Whiteside said. After a tough matchup against Dwight Howard tonight, he'll get another tough one against Myles Turner on Friday.
Feb 25 - 1:57 AM

James Johnson scored two points with two rebounds, five assists and one steal in just 16 minutes against the Hawks Friday.

He basically could do no wrong in his previous February games, averaging 16.3 points, 4.6 boards, 3.5 assists, 1.8 blocks, 0.9 steals and 0.9 treys. The black-belted Johnson gets a pass due to foul trouble and his owners can expect him to rebound against the Pacers on Saturday.
