Willie Reed - F/C - Heat

Willie Reed has been diagnosed with a right calf strain.

Feb 25 - 10:31 PM

Robert Covington made 7-of-19 from the field for 20 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, three steals and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

For the second night in a row, Covington picked up 100 percent of the backup power forward minutes to go with his starters minutes at the three. Following this game and a 25-point, 11-board gem on Friday, it's clear the Dario Saric isn't the only one benefiting from the Ersan Ilyasova and Nerlens Noel deals. While he didn't have his shot working today, RoCo is as hot as anyone as a stat-stuffer right now.
Feb 25 - 10:28 PM

Richaun Holmes scored eight points with two rebounds, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

Jahlil Okafor avoided foul trouble and played much, much better in this game, so the opportunity wasn't there for Holmes tonight like it was for his double-double, five-block game on Friday. He should still be closer to 20 minutes most nights and could have value based on how he can block and add a variety of stats. He is worth a look in deeper leagues.
Feb 25 - 10:21 PM

Nik Stauskas scored 14 points with three rebounds, one block and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Knicks on Saturday.

He is in a fairly solidified and consistent role right now as the backup two guard. In his last five, Sauce Castillo averaged 11.6 points with 3.8 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.4 steals and 1.6 treys -- he scored 11 points in each of his previous four games. Stauskas only has value in deep leagues.

Willie Reed - F/C - Heat

Willie Reed left Saturday's game vs. the Pacers on a stretcher after he appeared to suffer a non-contact injury to his leg.

It didn't look good at all and he's obviously not returning to this game. The Heat will likely run some tests on him, but we may not get an update until after the game. If he misses time, James Johnson may have to play some backup center behind Hassan Whiteside. We'll have an update shortly.
Feb 25 - 10:17 PM

Justin Anderson played four minutes in his 76ers debut against the Knicks on Saturday with one rebound.

Coach Brett Brown is big on practice time, so it's going to take a while before Anderson gets decent minutes. He does fit the system and he could potentially take minutes from Gerald Henderson, but Anderson is only a stash in very deep leagues.
Feb 25 - 10:16 PM

Evan Fournier made 2-of-10 from the field for seven points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes during a 105-86 win over the Hawks on Saturday.

His minutes are way up again with 35.5 per game over his last four. In that span, he averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 treys on 40.0 percent from the field. It'll be interesting to see how he and Terrence Ross co-exist, but Ross should absolutely have a higher usage than Serge Ibaka. While Fournier's scoring may take a minor hit, his fantasy value should be fine as long as he stays healthy.
Feb 25 - 10:12 PM

Terrence Ross showed why the Magic traded for him during a 105-86 win over the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 24 points with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers.

After a 4-of-17 dud on Thursday, Ross had it going big time with shooting touch. Ross has been living on his jump shot and actually hasn't made any shots at the rim in his two games with Orlando, which does spell trouble for his consistency from an efficiency standpoint -- only 11.7 percent of his shots come from within three feet on the season. Coach Frank Vogel has said he wants him to be aggressive and to score off the dribble, so expect more close shots to come. Ross should be owned in all standard leagues with his new opportunity.
