Jerome Williams allowed ten runs in four innings of work against the Indians on Friday.

Understatement of the Week: Jerome Williams' second start with the Rangers went much, much worse than his first one. The Indians were knocking him around from the start on Friday, with one run in the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth to go with thirteen hits. As if that weren't enough, Williams also walked three. His ERA now sits at 6.71 and it's tough to imagine Texas giving him many more opportunities.

Khris Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Cardinals due to left calf tightness.

It's probably not the best time for Davis to suffer any type of injury, as the team just acquired Gerardo Parra who is a major challenger for playing time in the outfield. He finished the night 0-for-4 and is now slashing .251/.302/.472 on the year.

Chris Capuano allowed four earned runs over six and a third innings in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Red Sox.

The Red Sox were knocking Capuano around in the early goings. In the third inning, Brock Holt tripled, Dustin Pedroia doubled and David Ortiz singled. All they were missing for the team cycle was the home run. It wasn't the best start, but Capuano will try to bounce back against Detroit in his next start. On a slightly more positive note than the four runs allowed, he struck out five without walking a batter.

Mike Trout blasted his 25th home run of the season on Friday, powering the Angels to a 5-3 victory over the Rays.

Trout got the scoring started in a hurry, taking Jeremy Hellickson deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. He finished the night 2-for-4 and is now slashing an impressive .302/.392/.587 with 25 long balls and 78 RBI on the year.

Ryan Ludwick went 1-for-4 with a two-run double against the Marlins on Friday.

Ludwick hit the double in the sixth inning against Chris Hatcher, who was relieving newly minted Marlin Jarred Cosart. The two runs ended up on Cosart's line. The RBI were just Ludwick's 30th and 31st of the season. At a .261/.324/.393 slash line, Ludwick doesn't not merit fantasy consideration.

Huston Street decided to make things interesting on Friday, loading the bases in the ninth inning on Friday before rallying to retire the final three hitters he faced and earn his 29th save.

A pair of singles and a walk put the potential winning run on the bases with no outs to begin the ninth inning, but the veteran closer bore down and punched out Desmond Jennings and Ben Zobrist before getting Matt Joyce on a fly ball. He owns a 0.92 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 42/9 K/BB ratio over 39 innings on the season.

Josh Hamilton belted his seventh home run of the season on Friday, but was forced to leave the game early with a contusion on his left middle finger.

Hamilton was hit by a pitch in his final at-bat before departing. It doesn't sound as though the injury is of the serious variety, so expect him to return to the Angels lineup in a day or two.

Aroldis Chapman struck out one in a scoreless ninth, picking up his 25th save of the season.

Chapman did allow a ninth inning single, but other than that he did what he usually does. He now has 69 strikeouts in just over 35 innings pitched. Chapman has a 2.04 ERA and is 25-for-27 in save opportunities.
