Jacoby Ellsbury (concussion) is not ready to resume baseball activities.

Ellsbury was diagnosed with a concussion and a neck sprain after he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch last Wednesday. The Yankees will obviously take every precaution until the symptoms subside. Aaron Hicks will continue to receive regular playing time during his absence.

Aroldis Chapman (shoulder) has resumed playing catch.

Chapman was shut down briefly with left rotator cuff inflammation, but he was able to do some throwing on back-to-back days over the weekend. He's not feeling any pain, but the Yankees are going to take it easy with him. Dellin Betances will continue to fill in at closer for now.

The Dodgers are expected to add right-hander Brandon Morrow to the active roster on Monday.

Morrow owns a 5.71 ERA over 17 relief appearances in Triple-A this year, but he has a 17/4 K/BB ratio in 17 1/3 innings and has been much better this month. The oft-injured 32-year-old figures to pitch in middle relief.

Nate Jones (elbow) threw another bullpen session Monday.

Jones threw 25 pitches and mixed in some sliders along the way. The southpaw has been out for nearly a month with left elbow neuritis, but he's getting closer to rejoining Chicago's bullpen. It's unclear if the White Sox want him to go on a rehab assignment first.

Athletics recalled RHP Daniel Mengden to Triple-A Nashville.

Mengden will start against the Indians on Monday with Kendall Graveman (shoulder) headed to the disabled list. The 24-year-old got a late start on the year while rehabbing from a foot fracture, but he has posted a 2.21 ERA and 20/5 K/BB ratio in 20 1/3 innings at Triple-A since returning to action. He put up a rough 6.50 ERA in 14 starts with the A's last season, but has shown an ability to miss bats. He's worth trying in AL-only formats as long as he holds down a rotation spot.
May 29 - 11:29 AM

Athletics placed RHP Kendall Graveman on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 20, with a right shoulder strain.

The expected move after Graveman was scratched from his scheduled start on Friday. He missed the minimum 10 days last month while dealing with shoulder soreness, but his stint on the DL figures to be a bit longer this time. He won't throw again until the pain subsides. Daniel Mengden has been called up to take his spot in the A's rotation.

Jason Castro is not in Monday's lineup against the Astros.

It's no surprise to see Castro on the bench after he caught 15 innings on Sunday. Chris Gimenez will start behind the dish and catch Ervin Santana.
May 29 - 11:20 AM

Miguel Sano has returned to the Twins' lineup on Monday against the Astros.

Sano was held out of the lineup for back-to-back games over the weekend in order to clear his head and work on his swing. The young slugger has one hit in his last 16 at-bats with 12 strikeouts. He should get back to mashing soon enough.
