Dodgers optioned LHP Julio Urias to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

While he struggled in his big league debut on Friday, Urias flashed the skills and talent that have made him the top pitching prospect in the game. He'll continue to bide his time at Triple-A for now, but will almost assuredly get another chance with the Dodgers later in the season.

Chase d'Arnaud was scratched from the Braves starting lineup on Saturday.

There is no injury involved, but d'Arnaud was involved in a minor car accident on the way to the ballpark on Saturday and the club decided to give him a day off after the ordeal. He should return to the lineup on Sunday.

Matt Garza (lat) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment with Class-A Wisconsin on Tuesday.

He'll need a couple of rehab starts before he's ready to go. Garza plans on making his season debut on or around June 14. If you're struggling for pitching depth in deeper mixed leagues, he could be worth a look as a low-cost addition.

Hunter Pence (hamstring) returned to the Giants starting lineup on Saturday.

Pence missed nearly a week's worth of starts due to a nagging hamstring injury, but appears to be ready to go now. The 33-year-old is hitting .292/.378/.484 with seven homers and 33 RBI in 161 at-bats on the season.
May 28 - 1:32 PM

Brandon Belt (ankle) returned to the Giants starting lineup on Saturday.

Belt sprained his ankle while sliding on Wednesday and sat out Friday's game as a precautionary measure. He's batting fifth against Chris Rusin and the Rockies on Saturday.
May 28 - 1:30 PM

Tigers recalled RHP Matt Boyd from Triple-A Toledo.

Boyd will start for the big league club on Saturday against the Athletics. He has been outstanding at Toledo this season, registering a 2.06 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 41/13 K/BB ratio across 48 innings, and didn't allow a run over 4 2/3 innings in his one spot start with the Tigers. Given the struggles of Anibal Sanchez and Mike Pelfrey, Boyd could be pitching for a spot in the rotation if he shuts down the Athletics on Saturday.
May 28 - 1:24 PM

Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reports that the Giants plan on placing Matt Cain on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain.

Cain suffered the injury during the second inning of Friday's start against the Rockies in Colorado. Cain underwent an MRI on Friday, and the club is waiting on results to officially announce a move. Baggarly also notes that former first round pick Chris Stratton is expected to be recalled to take Cain's place on the active roster.
May 28 - 1:20 PM

Stephen Vogt is not in the Athletics starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers.

Being an afternoon game after a night game, Vogt will take a seat in favor of Josh Phegley who was activated from the disabled list on Friday. Look for Vogt to be back behind the dish for Sunday's series finale.
