Jaguars WR Jaelen Strong (hamstring) will not practice Thursday.

Claimed off waivers from the Texans earlier this week, Strong was limited on Wednesday with a hamstring injury and now will sit out Thursday's session. It is not a great start to his Jaguars career. It is likely Strong sits out this week's game in London.

Jaguars C Brandon Linder (knee) will practice on Thursday.

Linder sat out Wednesday's session with a knee injury. It is the same routine he followed last week before suiting up against the Titans. He should be ready to go for Sunday's game in London.

Jets coach Todd Bowles defended ILB Darron Lee's performance Week 2 against the Raiders.

Lee struggled against the run in Oakland, but the coach does not think it is fair to single out the 2016 first-round pick. "You’re singling out Darron. We had a lot of guys not playing the run very well," Bowles said. "There were more guys involved in that play than you guys see. He’ll be fine." The coach has to defend his player, but Lee has been a disappointment so far in his career.

Browns OLB Jamie Collins (concussion) is unlikely to play Week 3.

Collins was not able to practice on Wednesday, and there does not seem to be much optimism in the building he will be ready for Sunday's matchup against the Colts. James Burgess is expected to get the start in his place.

Browns coach Hue Jackson said Myles Garrett (ankle) has made "huge progress" in his recovery.

Garrett shed his walking boot and was seen riding a stationary bike during Wednesday's practice. The rookie is not going to play this week, but it is starting to look like he will hit the low-end of his 4-6 week timetable, giving him a chance to suit up in Week 4.

Bears CB Prince Amukamara (ankle) got in a limited practice Wednesday.

Amukamara has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in the third preseason game. He was limited all last week, as well, but he was not able to get on the field against the Bucs. The Bears are hopeful that will change this week.

Eddie Lacy said he is staying as "positive" as he can after being a healthy scratch Week 2.

"It was my first time that happened to me or whatever, so I really don't know what think of it, just do what I can do," Lacy said. "I've just got to continue to be me, go out and practice the same way I've been practicing and see what happens week by week." The owner of a rose-colored lens factory, coach Pete Carroll said he "wish[es]" Lacy could have been active Week 2, and he will still have a role moving forward. Perhaps that will be true if there are injuries in the backfield, but Lacy has no fantasy value as of now. He can be dropped in redraft leagues.

Saints signed DE Kendall Langford, formerly of the Colts.

Langford, 31, was cut by Indy in August after failing to pass a physical. He has struggled with knee issues in recent years, but is a solid run stopper at defensive end and tackle when healthy. He should play soon in New Orleans.
