Gary Sanchez went 2-for-3 and slugged a clutch, game-tying home run during Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

He victimized former Rays' closer Alex Colome for a two-run homer that tied the game at five apiece in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Yankees went on to win on a Giancarlo Stanton bomb in the ninth. Sanchez has struggled massively in the batting average department but is filling box scores in other ways. The catcher has a .197/.297/.448 slash line with 14 homers, 41 RBI and 36 runs scored in 60 games. When his unlucky .199 BABIP normalizes it will give his batting average a nice boost.

Aroldis Chapman struck out a batter while tossing a perfect inning to earn a win against the Mariners on Wednesday.

He came on to pitch the ninth inning of a tie game and got the job done in effortless fashion. A Giancarlo Stanton home run in the bottom of the frame granted Chapman and his fantasy owners a win. He is now 3-0 with 21 saves and a 1.10 ERA on the season. He's punched out 56 batters in 32 2/3 innings.
Jun 20 - 11:18 PM

Austin Bibens-Dirkx allowed one earned run, five hits and a walk with no strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings in a victory Wednesday in Kansas City.

Bibens-Dirkx threw 55 of his 81 pitches for strikes, tossing first-pitch strikes to 19 of the 24 batters he faced. It was a solid outing, and he did enough to pick up the win while lowering his ERA to 4.58. However, he isn't a very overpowering pitcher and he won't log very many strikeouts to help fantasy owners. He relies upon being crafty and mixing up his pitches. He'll try to keep the winning ways going on Tuesday against San Diego, and the favorable matchup makes him a decent streaming option despite the lack of Ks.

Jonathan Loaisiga surrendered three runs in 3 2/3 innings during his start against the Mariners on Wednesday.

He was unscored upon through three frames but then allowed three runs without making it through the fourth inning. He was very inefficient, tossing 84 pitches in the brief outing. He notched four strikeouts against two walks and six hits. He has a 3.12 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings after his first two major league starts. He put up big strikeout numbers in his minor league career and has the potential to be an impact fantasy pitcher down the road.

Freddy Peralta will not start on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Peralta was scheduled to pitch against St. Louis in the series finale, but with Milwaukee's game against Pittsburgh rained out, the Brewers will instead push their rotation one day, and they won't need Peralta to make the start. He could be sent down to Triple-A Colorado springs, but there's no word yet on when -- or where -- he'll make his next appearance. The Brewers don't need a fifth starter until next Saturday against the Reds.

Ryon Healy went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.

He stroked a single to left that plated Kyle Seager to give the Mariners a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning. That was the last run they would score and then they watched the Yankees pile on seven tallies in the late frames. The first baseman has hit for nice power this year but not much else. He has a .258 batting average with 13 home runs and 33 RBI. He has yet to steal a base in his major league career.
Jun 20 - 11:07 PM

Brent Suter will start for the Brewers against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Suter was scheduled to pitch on Wednesday, but that start was scrapped when Milwaukee's game against the Pirates was postponed for a later date. The rest of the rotation remains the same, with Junior Guerra, Chase Anderson and Jhoulys Chacin the remaining starters for the series against the Cardinals.
Jun 20 - 11:05 PM

Dee Gordon went 2-for-5 and drove in two runs during Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.

He plated both runs with a single in the fourth inning. He now owns a .288 batting average with one home run, 17 RBI and 32 runs scored. His best fantasy asset is of course his speed -- he's stolen 19 bases to rank fourth in the majors in that category.
