Maicer Izturis (groin) suffered a right shoulder injury during his rehab assignment with High-A Dunedin on Saturday.
Izturis was playing in his fifth rehab game and felt a pop in the shoulder when he dove for a ball. He underwent an MRI, but the results are not yet available. Izturis has been limited to 11 games since the start of last season due to injury.
Eric O'Flaherty (shoulder) is nearing a rehab assignment.
He'll throw another bullpen session on Monday and could be cleared for game action at that time. O'Flaherty has been on the shelf since early May with left shoulder inflammation.
Drew Pomeranz (shoulder) will play catch on Monday.
It will be the first time he's thrown since he went on the disabled list with a sprained left AC joint. Pomeranz was given a cortisone injection late last week and could be looking at a relatively short stay on the disabled list.
Nationals recalled RHP Taylor Jordan from Triple-A Syracuse.
Jordan holds a 2.14 ERA over seven starts at Syracuse this season. He'll give the bullpen length, which will be needed with Tanner Roark transitioning from the 'pen to the rotation.
Nationals optioned RHP A.J. Cole to Triple-A Syracuse.
The Nats needed a fresh bullpen arm after Cole threw 4 1/3 relief innings Saturday. Taylor Jordan takes his spot on the roster.
Orioles transferred LHP Wesley Wright from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
The move clears space on the 40-man roster for Chaz Roe. Wright is throwing in extended spring training games as he works his way back from a shoulder injury but now won't be eligible to return until mid-June.
Orioles purchased the contract of RHP Chaz Roe from Triple-A Norfolk.
Roe has put up a 2.19 ERA with 22 strikeouts across 24 2/3 Triple-A frames this season. He'll be used in middle relief.
Orioles optioned LHP T.J. McFarland to Triple-A Norfolk.
McFarland has allowed two runs over five relief innings with the O's this season. He'll return to Norfolk's rotation.
