Saints LB Nathan Stupar suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 6 against the Lions.

He was hurt while covering a punt. Stupar is a mainstay on the kick-coverage units.

49ers DE Arik Armstead suffered a broken hand Week 6 against the Redskins and needs surgery.

Per coach Kyle Shanahan, Armstead will be out a "while." Armstead had transitioned to 4-3 end under new DC Robert Saleh and was having a strong start to the year, receiving plus marks from Pro Football Focus for both his pass rush and run defense. The 2015 first-rounder has 1.5 sacks thus far.

Colts declared RB Matt Jones, QB Andrew Luck, DB Quincy Wilson, LB Anthony Walker, LB Tarell Basham, OG Isaiah Williams, and TE Henry Krieger-Coble inactive for Week 6 against the Titans.

Wilson and Basham are both healthy scratches as rookie draft picks.

Titans declared DT Sylvester Williams, WR Corey Davis, WR Darius Jennings, SS Johnathan Cyprien, CB Kalan Reed, OG Corey Levin, and OLB Kevin Dodd inactive for Week 6 against the Colts.

Williams signed a three-year, $16.5 million deal in the offseason and is now a healthy scratch. 2016 second-rounder Dodd also joins him on that list.

Marcus Mariota (hamstring) is active and starting Week 6 against the Colts on Monday night.

As expected. It was reported Sunday that Mariota would get the start, and it's now official. Matt Cassel was a total disaster last week in Miami, so even a less than full health Mariota is a significant improvement. Mariota may not be able to escape as much on a balky hammy, but he's still a legitimate QB1 in a home spot against a bad pass defense. Fire him up in redraft formats.

Coach Mike McCarthy emphatically shot down any possibility of the Packers signing free agent Colin Kaepernick.

"Is there any idea of bringing in Colin Kaepernick to compete for that backup job?," a reporter asked McCarthy, who fired back, rhetorically asking, "Did you just listen to any question I just answered!? I got three years invested in Brett Hundley, two years invested in Joe Callahan. The quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be." He's not interested; not that we expected the Packers to be.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Redskins K Dustin Hopkins (hip) is week to week.

He's out for Week 7 against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, so the Redskins will be signing a kicker. Hopkins has turned into one of the better fantasy kickers since settling in with the Redskins in 2015.

Coach Dirk Koetter admitted he is "extremely concerned" about the play of second-year CB Vernon Hargreaves.

Hargreaves had an up-and-down rookie season after being the 11th overall pick in the 2016 draft. As a sophomore, it's been all "down" for him. Hargreaves is Pro Football Focus' No. 108 cover corner out of 112 qualifiers and has given up the third-most yards in his coverage of those 112 corners. Carson Palmer completed all four passes he threw at Hargreaves in the Bucs' Week 6 loss.
