Packers OLB Clay Matthews is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Matthews was forced to sit out Week 3 against the Lions with a hamstring issue, but coach Mike McCarthy does not believe this injury is as severe. Matthews is expected to practice on a limited basis Thursday to see where he is. He should be considered questionable for Week 8 against the Falcons.
The Chicago Tribune's Mike Mulligan reports Bears coach John Fox told friends "he was done" with Jay Cutler.
It has become clear Brian Hoyer would have remained the starter the rest of the season if not for the broken forearm which knocked him out of last Thursday's game. Now Cutler, who has been inactive with a thumb injury, is magically healthy again, and he will start against the Vikings. Cutler should treat his remaining starts with the Bears as an audition for the other 31 teams.
