Royals first base prospect Ryan O'Hearn upped his league-leading home run total to 11 Sunday in a win for Low-A Lexington.

O'Hearn finished the afternoon with two hits and three RBI. He's been one of the South Atlantic League's top power hitters this year, leading the league in slugging percentage (.519) and total bases (80). His contact rate is still a work in progress (.266 average, 42 strikeouts), but the 21-year-old has plenty of time to iron that out.

Astros first base prospect Jon Singleton blasted his 14th home run Sunday in a win for Triple-A Fresno.

Singleton owns a .379 average over his last nine games. He's plated 12 runs over that span, stretching his season total to 47. The 23-year-old now leads the Pacific Coast League in homers, RBI, walks (29) and runs scored (35). He's second in total bases (102), OPS (1.045) and slugging (.646). The Astros have Chris Carter at first base and Evan Gattis at DH, so it appears Singleton will continue to see regular at-bats at Fresno until a spot opens up for him.

Asdrubal Cabrera (groin) is not in the Rays' starting lineup on Monday night versus the Mariners.

Cabrera was forced from Sunday's series finale against the A's with a mild groin strain. He's considered day-to-day. Tim Beckham is at shortstop on Monday.
May 25 - 2:51 PM

Steven Souza (wrist) is not in the Rays' starting lineup on Monday evening against the Mariners.

Souza suffered a sprained left wrist Sunday in a nasty collision at home plate with A's catcher Stephen Vogt and is considered day-to-day for now. Brandon Guyer is starting in right field and Jake Elmore is in left field in Monday's series opener versus Seattle.
May 25 - 2:49 PM

Rays recalled INF/OF Jake Elmore from Triple-A Durham.

Elmore is starting in left field and batting sixth in his return to the Rays on Monday. The 27-year-old is a .226/.292/.311 career hitter at the big league level.
May 25 - 2:43 PM

Rays recalled INF Tim Beckham from Triple-A Durham.

Beckham was just optioned to the minors last week, but the Rays need him to provide infield depth with first baseman James Loney ruled out indefinitely after suffering a broken finger. Beckham was batting just .224/.266/.459 at the time of his May 22 demotion. He's doubtful to hold mixed-league fantasy value.
May 25 - 2:41 PM

Rays placed 1B James Loney on the 15-day disabled list with a broken finger.

It was initially called a sprain, but further testing revealed the fracture. It's not clear how long Loney might be out. Tampa Bay will use a mix of players at first base. Logan Forsythe is starting there Monday night.
May 25 - 2:39 PM

Orioles third base prospect Drew Dosch contributed a career-high six RBI Sunday in a win for High-A Frederick.

He won the game with a walk-off three-run homer, his second of the season. His six runs driven in were the most by a Frederick hitter since Chris Vinyard delivered seven RBI during a game in 2008. Dosch needed a double to hit for the cycle. The 22-year-old leads the Carolina League with 32 RBI and is tied for seventh with 19 walks.
