T.J. House allowed five runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings against the Twins on Sunday.

House walked two and struck out two in the outing. The Twins applied water torture to him in the second inning, scoring runs on a sacrifice fly, an RBI single and a run-scoring grounder. Shane Robinson added an RBI single in the fourth inning and the final run on House's line came via a Torii Hunter homer after the pitcher had left the game. House's 14.14 ERA theoretically has nowhere to go but down from here, assuming Danny Salazar does not replace him in the rotation. Should House make his next start, it will come against the Tigers.

Reds prospect Alex Blandino connected on four hits Saturday for High-A Daytona.

The four-hit outing raised Blandino's average from .130 all the way to .250. Blandino was drafted in the first round last year out of Stanford. Daytona is still using the 22-year-old at shortstop, though a position change has been discussed. He's not close to reaching the major leagues.

Patrick Corbin (elbow) will throw live batting practice on Tuesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery.

It's another step in the right direction for Corbin who is still eying a return to the Diamondbacks at some point in June. David Hernandez, who is also recovering from Tommy John surgery, is also scheduled to throw live batting practice on Tuesday.

Mets recalled RHP Hansel Robles from Triple-A Las Vegas.

He'll take the spot of Jerry Blevins in the Mets bullpen who sustained a broken arm on Sunday. The 24-year-old will work in middle or long relief and shouldn't provide any fantasy value.

Adam Jones finished 4-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in the Orioles' 8-3 rout of the Red Sox on Sunday.

The scorching start continues for Jones, who is batting .457/.490/.848 with five home runs and 16 RBI through 46 at-bats. He opened the game's scoring Sunday with a two-run shot off Red Sox starter Rick Porcello and then later added two singles and a three-run double. The 29-year-old center fielder is quickly justifying his first-round ADP.

Mets recalled C Kevin Plawecki from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Mets manager Terry Collins has already confirmed that the 24-year-old prospect will serve as the club's primary catcher for as long as Travis d'Arnaud (ahnd) remains sidelined. Plawecki has a solid offensive skill set and should be able to carve out mixed league value in deeper two-catcher formats over the next few weeks.

Steven Souza had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an RBI double, but the Rays fell to the Yankees 5-3 on Sunday.

Souza gave the Rays a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run home run off of Michael Pineda. He helped bring the Rays back within two runs with a fifth-inning double off of Pineda, but it ultimately wasn't enough to avoid a series sweep. Souza is off to a good start, batting .289 with three home runs, 10 RBI, and four stolen bases.

Rick Porcello was hammered for eight earned runs in five innings Sunday as the Red Sox fell to the Orioles.

Porcello gave up two runs in the first inning, one run in the second, another two in the fifth, and then three in the sixth. He surrendered 12 hits in all and walked three Baltimore batters, watching his WHIP balloon from 0.93 to 1.47. The 26-year-old right-hander had been off to a decent start with his new team, but he'll carry an ugly 1-2 record and 6.63 ERA into his next outing on the road against these same Orioles.
