Daniel Norris took the loss on Sunday, yielding five runs (four earned) in 2 2/3 innings versus the Braves.

The Braves got to Norris quickly, loading the bases ahead of a three-run Jonny Gomes double in the first inning. They tacked on two more in the third inning. Overall, Norris surrendered six hits with two walks and a strikeout. The lefty hasn't been sharp in any of his three starts, currently carrying a 6.08 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP. Norris will try to get on the winning track in his next start in Tampa against the Rays.

Ben Zobrist left Sunday's game against the Royals with an apparent injury.

Zobrist didn't suffer any obvious injury but had to be removed while playing defense in the fifth inning. He's dealt with a heel issue recently, so that could be the culprit. Expect more information on his status soon.

Omar Infante left Sunday's game versus the Athletics with an apparent leg injury.

Infante was spotted wincing in the fifth inning as he pulled into second base with a double. The Royals could be without both of their middle infielders for a bit with Alcides Escobar (knee) also sidelined. Expect an update on Infante shortly.

Shelby Miller limited the Blue Jays to two runs over six innings on Sunday as he earned his second win of the season.

Miller allowed base runners, giving up five hits, walking three, and hitting a batter, but he was able to limit the Jays to just a pair of runs which came in the sixth inning. The right-hander struck out six on the afternoon as he saw his ERA jump up to 1.69. Miller has racked up only 16 innings in his first three starts, but they've been productive innings. He'll try to go deeper when he takes on the Phillies in a road start next.

Russell Martin knocked in the Blue Jays' only two runs with a double in Sunday's loss to the Braves.

Martin plated a pair of runs in the sixth inning to bring the Jays back to within 5-2, but they weren't generating much offense otherwise. Martin, who went 1-for-4 on Sunday, started the season with one hit in 32 plate appearances over his first eight games, but has four hits -- three of which have gone for extra bases -- in 12 plate appearances in his last three games.

Cubs prospect Albert Almora put together a five-hit night Saturday for Double-A Tennessee.

Only one of the hits went for extra bases but that's nitpicking. You know the Cubs are loaded when Almora is only their sixth-best prospect. Almora has raked in the minor leagues, batting .295 across 936 at-bats. The 21-year-old was the Cubs' first-round pick in 2012.

Jonny Gomes walked, doubled, and knocked in four runs in Sunday's win against the Blue Jays.

Gomes cleared the bases in the top of the first inning to stake the Braves to an early 3-0 lead. He added a sacrifice fly in the third inning. The 34-year-old veteran is slashing a productive .261/.333/.565 with two home runs and seven RBI. Gomes' fantasy appeal, however, is limited to NL-only formats.

Travis d'Arnaud has been diagnosed with a fracture in his right hand.

The Mets have now lost both d'Arnaud and Jerry Blevins to fractures in the same day. It's such rotten timing for d'Arnaud, who was off to a blistering .317/.356/.537 start at the plate. How long he'll be sidelined will depend on the specifics of the fracture, but obviously it's going to be an extended absence. Look for the Mets to promote Kevin Plawecki to fill in for d'Arnaud.
