Justin Upton left Saturday's game against the Yankees with an undisclosed injury.

Chris Young pinch-hit for Upton in the sixth inning of a 6-4 game, so something is afoot. Upton had been hit by a Sonny Gray pitch earlier in the game. The Angels should provide an update soon.

Ian Kennedy yielded two runs in five innings and did not factor into the decision against the Rangers on Saturday.

He surrendered five hits and three walks while striking out four in the ballgame. He allowed an RBI-single to Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the third inning and an RBI-double to Joey Gallo in the fourth. It took him 90 pitches to complete five frames. His record holds at 1-5 with a 5.15 ERA and 1.54 WHIP after 11 starts. He does have 54 strikeouts in 57 2/3 innings but he isn't likely to win many games for a struggling Royals squad this year.

Lorenzo Cain went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, two walks and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Mets.

Wonderful game for Cain, whose RBI single in the seventh inning served as the cherry on top of a large run-scoring sundae for the Brewers, putting the cap on a seven-run frame for the home team and giving them their final run in what ended as a 17-6 laugher. In his first season with the Brewers, the veteran outfielder is working to a .291/.396/.453 triple-slash to pair with six home runs, 16 RBI, 33 runs scored and 11 steals over the course of 49 games played. He's been exactly as advertised since the Brewers brought him in over the winter.
May 26 - 9:16 PM

Tim Anderson yanked two longballs, drove in four runs and scored three times during Saturday's 8-4 win over the Tigers.

He also made three errors in the contest but his fantasy owners don't care one bit. He popped a solo dinger off starter Francisco Liriano in the fifth inning, then topped that by belting a three-run jack off reliever Louis Coleman in the next frame. He also walked and scored a third run in the ballgame. The leadoff batter has added considerable power this year and is stealing bases at a rapid clip as well. He has a .246 batting average with 10 homers, 18 RBI and 26 runs. He's swiped 11 bases and has been caught only once.
May 26 - 9:11 PM

Christian Yelich went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple, a two-run double and three runs scored in Saturday's 17-6 romp over the Mets.

Yelich was one of three Brewers batters (joining Lorenzo Cain and Jesus Aguilar) to finish with three knocks. He raced around for an RBI triple in the fourth inning and added a two-run double in the fifth, putting him on Cycle Watch for the back half of the game. While he already had the most difficult leg of the cycle -- the triple -- under his belt relatively early, the former Marlins outfielder came up short of the fun statistical when he failed to find himself a home run by the end of the contest. He's played solid (if unspectacular) baseball this season, slashing .296/.365/.463 with five home runs and 23 RBI in 162 at-bats.
May 26 - 9:09 PM

Jose Abreu went 4-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a win over the Tigers on Saturday.

He smacked a double that plated Tim Anderson in the third inning and he followed that up with a solo dinger off starter Francisco Liriano in the fifth frame. The first baseman also walked in the contest to reach base in all five of his chances. He is mashing to the tune of .319/.382/.560 with nine homers and 30 RBI on the season.
May 26 - 9:02 PM

Jesus Aguilar went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a two-run single in Saturday's win over the Mets.

Aguilar was just one of several Brewers hitters to come through with huge performances against the Mets on Saturday. As a team, they finished with a whopping 17 runs on 19 hits. His initial contribution to the carnage came when the game was still actually a game, as he swatted a solo home run off Jason Vargas in the third inning to pull the Brewers within 5-3. Things would be considerably different by the time he notched his two-run single in the seventh inning. That made the score 12-6 in favor of the Brew Crew and was just the opening throat-clearing in what eventually evolved into a seven-run frame for the home team. For his part overall, Aguilar is now hitting a delightful .317/.380/.569 with eight home runs and 26 RBI across 45 games played.
May 26 - 9:00 PM

Hector Santiago allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings and took home a win against the Tigers on Saturday.

He surrendered two home runs to Jeimer Candelario and he's now given up 10 homers in just 43 1/3 innings this year. He was able to keep the other Tiger hitters under control well enough to snare his first win of the season. He yielded seven hits total and one walk while fanning five in the ballgame. The veteran left-hander has a 4.98 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 14 games (five starts) and is not a recommended fantasy option except perhaps as a streamer in very deep leagues.
