Yankees C prospect Gary Sanchez pounded his third home run in as many games Sunday in a victory for Double-A Trenton.

He contributed three of Trenton's season-high 18 hits. The hot-hitting Thunder have scored a combined 44 runs during their four-game winning streak. Sanchez has hit safely in six of his last seven games with six RBI. The 22-year-old has homered once every 20.7 plate appearances this season, a significant improvement from last season when he homered only once every 36.7 plate appearances.

Travis Ishikawa will take Josh Harrison's (thumb) place on the Pirates' active 25-man roster.

The Pirates acquired Ishikawa off waivers from the Giants on Sunday. It didn't take them long to place him on the active roster. In 34 games at Triple-A this season, he hit .271/.342/.421 with four homers.

Pirates placed 3B Josh Harrison on the 15-day disabled list with a left thumb injury.

Harrison injured his hand attempting an awkward slide into second on Sunday. Some initial reports had the injury tabbed as torn ligaments in the thumb, but Harrison will be reevaluated after the swelling goes down. If the ligaments are torn, he's expected to miss at least six weeks, which would put him on target to return in the middle of August. Jung-ho Kang is starting at third for Monday's game against the Padres and should see the majority of the at-bats in Harrison's absence.

With Matt Garza (shoulder) out injured, RHP Tyler Cravy will take his place in the rotation.

Cravy held a 3.79 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 66/26 K/BB ratio in 78 1/3 innings covering 14 starts for Triple-A Colorado Springs. It's difficult to recommend him for fantasy purposes, but desperate owners should at least keep an eye on him to see if there's short term benefit here.

Brewers OF prospect Omar Cotto racked up five steals Sunday in a win for Rookie-level Billings.

That gives him 11 steals in nine games this season. Cotto isn't just a one-trick pony. He's hit .308 this year with an impressive .455 on base percentage. The 23-year-old signed with Milwaukee on June 17 after playing collegiately at the University of Southern California. Ironically, he stole just seven bags in his three-year tenure as Trojan.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune's Rob Biertempfel, Josh Harrison has torn ligaments in his thumb and will be out up to six weeks.

Harrison wasn't in the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres. He apparently injured his hand while making an awkward slide into second on Sunday. A six-week recovery time would put his return around mid-to-late August.

Tigers claimed 1B Marc Krauss off waivers from the Rays.

Krauss was DFA'ed on July 4 after being optioned to Triple-A earlier in the week. He struck out seven times in 10 at-bats in (very) limited duty for the Rays. Kraus is just a .192 hitter for his career at the big league level over the last three seasons.

Cubs RHP prospect Daury Torrez hurled seven scoreless frames Sunday in a win for High-A Myrtle Beach.

The seven-inning effort matched his longest outing of the season. Since working with pitching coach David Rosario to fix a flaw in his mechanics, Torrez has gone 2-0 with a 0.95 ERA. Over his last two starts, Torrez has fanned 12 hitters without allowing a walk. He hasn't given up a home run since June 9 at Frederick.
