Chris Ivory (illness) is active for Week 3 against the Ravens.
Ivory is finally ready to make his Jaguars debut after missing the first two games with what the team is calling a "general medical issue." He won't see a full workload in his first game back but Ivory is still the favorite for goal-line carries. That makes him a touchdown-or-bust RB3. Obviously Ivory's return will put a major dent in T.J. Yeldon's fantasy value.
Cardinals declared RG Evan Mathis, DB Marqui Christian, DT Robert Nkemdiche, DT Olsen Pierre, DE Frostee Rucker, DT Xavier Williams, and OLB Kareem Martin inactive for Week 3 against Buffalo.
Losing Mathis stings, but the Cardinals are quite a bit healthier than their Week 3 foe the Bills. Earl Watford starts for Mathis at right guard.
Damien Williams is active for Week 3 against the Browns.
There was speculation Williams could be a healthy scratch, but Miami has all four of their running backs active. Kenyan Drake is starting in place of Arian Foster and is the safest bet for touches. Also out for Miami are WR Justin Hunter, CB Jordan Lucas, LB Spencer Paysinger, C Mike Pouncey, OG Dallas Thomas, DE Terrence Fede.
Redskins declared WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') inactive for Week 3 against the Giants.
Rashad Ross was originally listed as inactive, but he will be up instead of Doctson. The switch suggests something happened during warmups, but nothing has been reported. Doctson was limited in practice this week with his Achilles' issue.
Ravens OLB Elvis Dumervil (foot) is inactive for Week 3 against the Jaguars.
Dumervil returned to practice this week but isn't game-ready yet. Look for him to return against the Raiders in Week 4. Albert McClellan will draw another start at left outside linebacker.
C.J. Prosise (hand) is not expected to play Sunday versus San Francisco.
Prosise has practiced fully in two straight weeks, but he was listed as questionable both times and will miss both games. Thomas Rawls (shin) will also miss Sunday's game, setting up Christine Michael for a heavy workload.
Panthers declared RB Jonathan Stewart, WR Brenton Bersin, WR Damiere Byrd, LB Jeremy Cash, CB Teddy Williams, OG Tyler Larsen, and DE Ryan Delaire inactive for Week 3 against the Vikings.
There are no surprises on this list. Stewart is expected to miss at least a couple games.
Matt Asiata has been announced as the Vikings' Week 3 starter at running back.
We still think Jerick McKinnon will lead Minnesota's backfield in touches, but it's indicative of the faith the Vikings have in short-yardage plodder Asiata. He'll get the goal-line carries. McKinnon is a borderline RB2, Asiata a low-upside RB3.
