Ex-NFL personnel man Bryan Broaddus compared Alabama RB Derrick Henry to famed Bears draft bust Curtis Enis.

Broaddus tweeted that he worries about 6-foot-3, 238-pound Henry "getting bigger and slower," and noted Henry's game tape reveals an oversized running back who "doesn't create," and needs "a lane to get going." Broaddus was hired by Hall of Fame GM Ron Wolf in Green Bay before spending time scouting for the Eagles, Jaguars, and Cowboys. The No. 5 overall pick in the 1998 draft, 250-pound Enis lasted just four seasons in the NFL, averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss believes free agent Matt Forte "could be a perfect fit" with the Patriots.

The price would have to be right -- the Pats aren't the sort of team to pay top dollar for a 30-year-old running back -- but on paper there isn't a better fit across the league than Forte in Foxboro. Reiss previously suggested the Patriots will "explore the possibility" of signing Forte. LeGarrette Blount is a free agent, while space back Dion Lewis is rehabbing a torn ACL.

Free agent WR Josh Morgan was charged with reckless use of a firearm after accidentally shooting himself in Virginia on January 31.

That's a misdemeanor offense. Morgan claims he was cleaning the gun when he shot himself. He was hospitalized but none of his injuries were life-threatening. Morgan will appear in court next month. He went to training camp with the Saints last summer but was among the team's final cuts.

Saints re-signed FB Austin Johnson to a one-year contract.

He was an exclusive rights free agent. The Saints cut Johnson in November but re-signed him a month later. He'll be competing with Toben Opurum for a roster spot this summer.

Broncos signed RB Kapri Bibbs to a reserve/future contract.

Bibbs was active for one game last season, a Week 6 win over Cleveland. He returned a kick for 15 yards but didn't see carries. Even with Ronnie Hillman headed for free agency, Bibbs faces an uphill battle to crack Denver's 53-man roster.

Broncos signed S Ryan Murphy to a reserve/future contract.

Murphy was sent home during Super Bowl week for his involvement in a prostitution ring, though he wasn't arrested. He joined Denver's practice squad in November after being cut by the Seahawks at the end of training camp.

Broncos signed WR Jordan Taylor to a to a reserve/future contract.

Taylor spent time on the Denver practice squad in 2015 and served as Peyton Manning's throwing partner while he rehabbed from a foot injury. The UDFA out of Rice has yet to play an NFL snap. Taylor does offer the requisite size (6'4/209) and just enough speed (4.52) to be worth considering in especially deep Dynasty leagues. What he lacks is clear immediate opportunity.

Andy Dalton (thumb) hasn't begun throwing yet.

"Not throwing yet because we are being very conservative with it," said Dalton in a text message earlier this week. "I feel like I can throw but no reason to push anything right now." Dalton was having his best season before a broken thumb ended it in Week 14. He should be ready for OTAs.
