According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Indians have expressed interest in Eduardo Nunez of the Twins.

Nunez has been in a steady state of regression for a couple of months, but he's still enjoying the best year of his career by far, batting .298/.324/.446 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, and 24 stolen bases in 88 games. The 29-year-old can also play all around the diamond defensively, which fits well with this current Cleveland roster. Nunez is making $1.48 million in 2016 and carries one more year of arbitration eligibility in 2017.

Twins 2B prospect Travis Blankenhorn matched a career-high with four RBI Monday in a win for Rookie-level Elizabethton.

He paced the Twins with a double and a pair of home runs. The 19-year-old has been raking lately with 11 hits and seven RBI over his last six contests. During that span, his season average has climbed from .274 to .310. Blankenhorn leads the Appalachian League in runs scored (24) and is also second in RBI (26) and third in home runs (eight).

White Sox OF prospect Mason Robbins tallied a career-high five hits Monday in a win for High-A Winston-Salem.

All of his hits were singles. Robbins has contributed at least two hits in seven of his last 10 games. He's hit .477 during that span while raising his average from .296 to .318. The 23-year-old leads the Carolina League in batting average and hits this year but his on base percentage sits at a relatively low .333 thanks to an unusually low walk rate (eight walks in 370 plate appearances).

J.T. Realmuto is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Phillies.

He's presumably getting a routine day of rest. Jeff Mathis will start behind the plate and catch Tom Koehler.

Blue Jays optioned RHP Ryan Tepera to Triple-A Buffalo.

The move clears the way for the newly-acquired Melvin Upton on the active roster. Tepera was just called up over the weekend, but didn't make an appearance during his brief stay with the big club.

Bryce Harper will bat second in Tuesday's game against the Indians.

This is the other big change in Washington's lineup on Tuesday. Harper has been the primary No. 3 hitter for most of the year, but he was moved to the cleanup spot earlier this month. Now he'll shift to second as the Nationals try to get him going. He's batting .200/.313/.371 in 83 plate appearances this month. Wilson Ramos will bat third while Jayson Werth will hit cleanup.

Trea Turner will start in center field Tuesday against the Indians.

Turner saw some time in center field in the minors, but this will be his first start at the position in the majors. He should see more time there with Ryan Zimmerman (rib cage) back from the disabled list. Turner is batting leadoff Tuesday while Ben Revere will play left and bat eighth. Jayson Werth is in the DH spot.
Jul 26 - 3:33 PM

Brett Lawrie (hamstring) is out of the starting lineup again Tuesday against the Cubs.

Lawrie hasn't played since leaving Thursday's game with tightness in his left hamstring. It's unclear if the White Sox are thinking about a stint on the disabled list. Tyler Saladino will continue to fill in at second base.
