Markus Wheaton played on a season-low 31-of-67 snaps (46.2 percent) in Monday's win over the Texans.
Giants worked out free agent RB Felix Jones.
It's a standard bye-week workout, but raises some concern about Rashad Jennings' (knee) status. The Giants also worked out free agent RB Alex Green on Tuesday.
Bucs waived WR/KR Solomon Patton.
Patton is no longer needed after the Bucs signed Trindon Holliday. He appeared in six games as the primary return man. Patton could be re-signed to the practice squad.
Denard Robinson played 46-of-74 snaps in Sunday's win over the Browns.
Storm Johnson was on the field for 10 snaps in a change-of-pace role. Jordan Todman remained Jacksonville's third-down back, getting 19 snaps. Robinson is expected to keep the starting job going forward, with Toby Gerhart likely to be a complementary option with Johnson when he returns. Robinson is one of the top waiver-adds for Week 8. He's a recommended pickup in Yahoo leagues, where he has WR eligibility.
Titans signed RB Antonio Andrews off their practice squad.
Teams are scurrying to protect their developmental backs after a fistful of running backs got hurt Sunday. Andrews will slide in behind Bishop Sankey and maybe Shonn Greene (questionable, hamstring).
Speaking Tuesday morning, A.J. Green (toe) said his Week 8 status is "still up in the air."
On Sunday, Green was overheard telling a teammate he's going to play in Week 8. On Monday, coach Marvin Lewis said the star receiver has made tremendous strides. But Green still needs to get through a full week of practice and figure out how to manage pain. "It's probably not gonna be 100 percent, but I hope it's just manageable," Green said. "I can get through the season and be fine and still play at a high level." We'll consider him day to day for now.
Broncos signed RB Kapri Bibbs off their practice squad.
LB Shaquil Barrett was waived in a corresponding move, meaning the Broncos now have four running backs on their 53-man roster. It might be a case of the Broncos wanting to prevent another team from signing Bibbs.
A source tells ABC6 in Indy that Reggie Wayne (elbow) could miss 1-2 games.
Wayne landed awkwardly on his left arm early in Sunday's win over the Bengals. He hardly missed any snaps, but did have two uncharacteristic drops later on. The injury sounds like some kind of minor sprain that the Colts might exercise caution with. Hakeem Nicks projects to slide into an every-down role opposite T.Y. Hilton, but Donte Moncrief has been closing the gap there lately. Nicks would be a desperation fantasy WR4 despite the opportunity.
