Terrance Williams caught 4-of-7 passes for 39 yards in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to the Panthers.
Williams has now been held under 50 receiving yards in seven of Dallas' last nine games. With Matt Cassel taking back over as the Cowboys' quarterback following Tony Romo's latest injury, Williams should stay plastered to the waiver wire in fantasy leagues of all sizes.
Jason Witten caught 4-of-6 passes for 36 yards in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to the Panthers.
His most notable contribution was getting targeted on two of Tony Romo's three interceptions. With Matt Cassel back under center following Romo's clavicle aggravation, "dad runner" Witten will finish out the season as a very low-ceiling fantasy option.
A source told Profootballtalk.com that Tony Romo is believed to have a "small fracture" in his left clavicle.
Romo said after Thursday's loss to the Panthers that the injury felt "similar" to the collarbone fracture that he suffered in Week 2. X-rays in the locker room were reportedly "inconclusive" on the exact extent of Romo's new injury, and he will go for another scan on Friday. We hope to have a timetable for Romo's recovery by the weekend, but wouldn't bet on seeing him again this year.
Cole Beasley secured 6-of-7 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to the Panthers.
Beasley made an early ten-yard catch in Josh Norman's coverage and later caught a touchdown pass from Matt Cassel. Although Beasley is a useful slot receiver in Dallas' offense, he offers very little appeal in re-draft leagues.
Dez Bryant caught 2-of-8 targets for 26 yards in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to the Panthers.
According to the game charting of PFF's Nate Jahnke, Bryant played 49 snaps in this one. He lined up six times in the slot and outside on 43 plays, and was shadowed by Josh Norman on all 43 of his perimeter snaps. While Norman has moved to the forefront of the NFL Defensive Player of the Year discussion, this is shaping up as a likely lost season for Dez, who missed extensive early-year action with a foot fracture and will likely now have to deal without Tony Romo (collarbone) for the remainder of the season.
Robert Turbin rushed twice for 11 yards and caught his lone target for a gain of one in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to the Panthers.
Turbin got one series to himself behind Darren McFadden and broke off gains of 8 and 3, but wasn't heard from much thereafter. Turbin is a DMC's handcuff.
Darren McFadden managed 11 yards on 10 carries in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to Carolina, but caught 4-of-6 targets for 45 yards and a two-point conversion.
The Panthers entered this one playing shutdown run defense and continued to do so against Dallas, relentlessly stuffing McFadden at the line of scrimmage and throwing him for losses. Fantasy owners should consider themselves lucky that McFadden scored a meaningless late-game two-point conversion and caught several checkdown passes. Still seeing every-down, workhorse usage, McFadden will be a high-end RB2 at worst against Washington's porous run defense in Week 13.
Matt Cassel completed 13-of-19 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 12 loss to Carolina.
Tony Romo appeared to re-fracture his collarbone in Thursday's defeat, which would force Cassel back into the starting lineup for the remainder of the season. We've seen Cassel's act before, and it's not pretty. Even against the Redskins in Week 13, Cassel would be a low-end two-quarterback-league option.
