Christian Yelich hit a two-run home run and the Marlins shut out the Diamondbacks 4-0 on Thursday.

Yelich connected in the eight inning for his second homer in three games. It was his only hit in four at-bats. The outfielder has cooled slightly after a torrid start but is still hitting .330/.443/.511 with three homers, 14 RBI and 16 runs scored overall.

Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Ozuna has been on a tear in recent days, as Thursday was his fourth multi-hit game in his last 10 contests. In that span, he's 12-for-37 (.324) with three home runs, six RBI and six runs scored. His line sits at .250/.306/.460 overall.
May 5 - 11:20 PM

Derek Dietrich went 2-for-3 with an RBI against the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Dietrich opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning. He's been drawing more starts as his hot hitting has continued, making his sixth start at second base on Thursday. He'll continue to find his way into the lineup while he's batting .319/.429/.596 overall.
May 5 - 11:13 PM

Nick Hundley was a last minute scratch Thursday against the Giants.

The change was never announced. Hundley was listed in the lineup but Tony Wolters came to the plate when it was his turn to bat in the first inning. It's possible he suffered an injury, though beat writer Nick Groke of the Denver Post said he didn't notice anything unusual with Hundley when he hit before the game. We'll wait for manager Walt Weiss to explain himself before jumping to any conclusions.

Chris Johnson had an RBI double in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Johnson, getting a start at first base, knocked the run-scoring double -- his first RBI of the season -- in the fourth inning against Diamondbacks starter Robbie Ray. He finished 1-for-4 in the game. The 31-year-old is batting just .207/.281/.276 on the year.

Robbie Ray allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings in Thursday's loss to the Marlins.

Ray gave up six hits and a walk, striking out five in the loss. He's had some clunkers, but the poor guy can't catch a break, either -- Thursday was the third consecutive game his team was shut out in one of his starts. Through six starts, the southpaw has a 4.70 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 32/16 K/BB ratio over 30 2/3 innings. It doesn't get much easier Tuesday when Ray takes on the Rockies in Colorado.
May 5 - 11:00 PM

Adam Conley pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Conley held the D'backs to two hits and a walk while striking out six. It was a nice follow-up to his 7 2/3 no-hit innings his last time out. The win was his second of the season, and he now owns a 3.06 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 34/13 K/BB ratio over 32 1/3 innings this year. Conley will look to make it three straight Tuesday against the Brewers, the team he nearly no-hit last week.
May 5 - 10:55 PM

Pedro Alvarez plated the only run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to down the Yankees 1-0 on Thursday.

Alvarez went hitless in three at-bats but was able to lift a fly ball deep enough to score Nolan Reimold and give the O's a victory. He has just one homer and four RBI in 19 games thus far with his new club, batting a paltry .196/.303/.321.
