Mike Aviles provided the Indians their only two runs with a home run in Monday's loss to the Royals.

Aviles hit a two-run home run off of Jason Vargas in the fifth inning to knot the game at 2-2. He finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks along with the round-tripper. Aviles is batting .257/.366/.457 with two home runs and three RBI on the season but has come to the plate only 41 times. Despite his multi-position eligibility, Aviles doesn't have much fantasy value with his irregular playing time.

Mike Moustakas enjoyed a four-hit night in Monday's win over the Indians.

Moustakas came to the plate times, singling twice and doubling once. His seventh-inning RBI single provided the Royals an insurance run and sparked what turned out to be a three-run inning. The 26-year-old has posted subpar numbers since entering the league in 2011, but has hit quite well to begin the season. He's batting .342/.419/.526 with three home runs and seven RBI.

Devon Travis clubbed his sixth home run of the season, but the Blue Jays lost 6-5 to the Red Sox on Monday.

Travis finished 2-for-4 with a first-inning RBI single along with the home run. The second baseman took Red Sox starter Joe Kelly yard in the third inning, continuing what has been a very impressive first month for the rookie. Along with the six home runs, Travis is hitting .368/.419/.721 with 18 RBI.

Mets optioned INF Danny Muno to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Muno had one hit in six at-bats during his brief time with the big club. The Mets will promote Tuesday's starter Rafael Montero in a corresponding move.

Pablo Sandoval went 2-for-2 with a two-run single and a solo home run in Monday's victory versus the Blue Jays.

Sandoval brought the Red Sox back within one run with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the first inning. He added a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 5-3 game at the time. Sandoval, who has homered on consecutive days now, left after five innings due to neck soreness. He's hitting .294/.392/.412 with two home runs and 11 RBI.

Aaron Sanchez took a no-decision on Monday, yielding four runs (three earned) in 5 2/3 innings as the Blue Jays fell to the Red Sox.

Sanchez was staked to a 3-0 lead before he took the mound, but promptly gave two of those runs back on a Pablo Sandoval two-run single in the bottom of the first. In total, Sanchez gave up five hits and walked two while fanning seven. Sanchez has yet to complete the sixth inning in his first four starts and now owns a 5.03 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP and a 16/14 K/BB ratio in 19 2/3 innings. He'll match up against the Indians in Cleveland next.
Apr 27 - 9:41 PM

Joe Kelly struggled in Monday's no-decision against the Blue Jays despite striking out 10 batters, as he allowed five runs in six innings of work.

The Jays jumped on Kelly immediately, scoring three times in the first inning before adding one run in the third and fourth innings. Overall, Kelly yielded five hits and walked three along with the 10 strikeouts. The right-hander, now with two decent starts and two mediocre starts under his belt, has a 4.94 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, and a 28/8 K/BB ratio in 22 2/3 innings. Kelly matches up with the Yankees at home in his next outing.

Mookie Betts delivered the winning hit in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI single to left-center on Monday against the Blue Jays.

The score was knotted up at five apiece entering the bottom of the ninth. Betts, who was 2-for-3 with a double prior to his final at-bat, stepped to the plate with runners on second and third and one out against Miguel Castro. Betts sent a 1-0 offering into left-center to bring home the game-winning run. It was a rare offensive outburst for the prospect, as he still carries a meager .218/.303/.333 triple-slash line with two home runs and 10 RBI on the season.
