Texans reserve RB Jonathan Grimes will be sidelined "roughly a month" with a cracked fibula.
Grimes had been running as the Texans' No. 3 running back. At this time, he doesn't appear headed to injured reserve. His absence creates an opening for rookie Tyler Ervin, whose NFL career is off to a very rough start thanks to special teams miscues.
The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are scaling back CB Byron Maxwell's snaps for Week 4.
Matt Forte (knee) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.
The Jets were just managing Forte's reps on Wednesday. He'll be good to go as an RB2 against the Seahawks' typically elite defense.
Chris Ivory (knee, ankle) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.
Ivory will be good to go as a touchdown-dependent RB3 for Jacksonville's London clash with the Colts.
Tevin Coleman (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
The Falcons are just managing Coleman's reps after he played through a tweak on Monday. Devonta Freeman has a slight edge in the touch department, but Coleman has firmly established himself as an upside FLEX.
Charles Clay (knee) returned to Bills practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
Clay doesn't really do "full" practices. Clay has remained a massive letdown for the Bills, and is barely on the TE2 radar even with Sammy Watkins (foot) sidelined.
Both the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon-Journal believe Josh Gordon has played his last snap for the Browns.
Per the Beacon-Journal's Nate Ulrich, Gordon is "not expected to receive another shot with this regime." Gordon has been given 10th and 11th chances by the Browns, and burned them every time. It's good to see Gordon trying to get his life in order by checking into rehab, but he's lucky to have lasted as long as he did in Cleveland. Gordon is still somehow only 25 years old, but he's dangerously close to forcing his way out of the league.
The Arizona defense allowed 208 rushing yards to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, and are 28th in NFL run defense through three weeks.
The Arizona Republic notes that the Bills used misdirection runs to take advantage of Arizona's speed and lack of discipline, something other teams have likely taken note of early in the season. Arizona will face Rams RB Todd Gurley in Week 4 as they look to improve against the ground game. The Cardinals D/ST will be a top-10 fantasy option at home against Rams QB Case Keenum.
