Mike Wright was knocked around in Friday's Grapefruit League start against the Twins, surrendering five runs on seven hits in just two innings of work.

All of the damage against him came during a five-run uprising in the second inning. Wright is expected to reprise his role as a swing man in the O's bullpen to start the year while being the next man up should anyone in the rotation sustain an injury. His fantasy value is minimal.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that the Indians and Jose Ramrirez have reached an agreement on a four-year, $26 million contract extension.

The deal will also include two club options at $11 million and $13 million respectively. In total, the deal could be worth more than $50 million over the six years and keep Ramirez in Cleveland through the 2023 season. Ramirez hit .312/.363/.462 with 11 homers, 76 RBI and 22 swipes during a breakout 2016 campaign.

Kennys Vargas was forced to leave Friday's Grapefruit League contest with a left foot contusion.

The Twins are calling him day-to-day and this isn't expected to put his Opening Day in jeopardy. He fouled a ball off of his foot and was hobbling around afterwards so he was lifted for precautionary reasons.

Logan Forsythe had a two-run single, walked twice, and scored a run in the Dodgers’ 13-6 win over the Diamondbacks in Cactus League action on Friday.

While a deal for Brian Dozier almost looked like a foregone conclusion at one point over the winter, the Dodgers acquired Forysthe instead in January and appear prepared to go into the season with him as their primary leadoff hitter. The 30-year-old hasn’t provided any reason to change their minds. He’s hitting .424 (15-for-34) with a .472 on-base percentage this spring.

Adrian Gonzalez (elbow) went 1-for-2 with a single, a walk, and two runs scored in his return to action Friday against the Diamondbacks.

It was his first game since tweaking his elbow on a check swing last Sunday. Gonzalez hasn’t had the smoothest spring, but he should be ready for the season if he can avoid setbacks. He still carries the name appeal in fantasy leagues, but his sharp drop in fly ball rate (and home runs) last season can’t be ignored.

Reymond Fuentes went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Friday’s loss to the Dodgers.

Fuentes, a non-roster invitee, got the Diamondbacks on the board with an RBI single in the second inning before adding a solo shot off Trevor Oaks in the fourth. The 26-year-old had a couple of stints with the Royals last season, but spent the majority of the year in Triple-A while batting .254/.325/.317 with zero homers and 17 steals over 65 games. Even if he finds himself on Arizona’s bench at some point, there’s not much fantasy appeal here.

Kendall Graveman spun seven innings of one-run ball in an 8-2 victory over the White Sox in Cactus League action on Friday.

Just one day after being named the A’s Opening Day starter, Graveman was on his game, allowing five hits while walking none and striking out seven. He also induced nine ground balls. Sean Manaea is probably most interesting name in this rotation from a fantasy perspective, but Graveman should be a solid, if unspectacular arm. The 26-yer-old has averaged just 5.6 K/9 so far in the majors.

Ryon Healy slugged a two-run homer in Friday’s win over the White Sox.

Healy is now up to five homers and 16 RBI this spring to go along with a .319/.346/.745 batting line over 16 games. Despite his impressive showing as a rookie last season, his average draft position sits at 185.1 at Yahoo. He has the makings of a potential bargain among third basemen.
