Felix Hernandez will throw another live batting practice session before making his Cactus League debut.

Hernandez threw his first BP session of the spring on Wednesday. The Mariners' ace is completely fine, but just wants another tune-up before getting into game action.

Elvis Andrus (knee) won't play in the Rangers' first four Cactus League games.

The Rangers don't consider Andrus' knee issue to be serious, but they are just taking extra precaution. The 26-year-old is coming off a disappointing season in which he batted just .263 with two homers and a .647 OPS while going 27-for-42 in stolen base attempts.
Mar 4 - 12:42 PM

Masahiro Tanaka (elbow) is likely to make his Grapefruit League debut on March 12 against the Braves.

The Yankees have yet to make an official announcement. Tanaka made it through another bullpen session Wednesday morning -- throwing about 30 pitches in all -- and hasn't reported any issues with his elbow. The Yankees expect him to begin the season in the rotation, but he remains a very risky investment in fantasy leagues.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said that Roberto Baldoquin could arrive in Angels camp this weekend.

Baldoquin's arrival to camp has been delayed due to a visa issue, but it's expected to be cleared up soon. The 20-year-old received an $8 million bonus from the Angels in December and is expected to work on the minor league side before beginning the year with Class A Inland Empire.
Mar 4 - 12:35 PM

Garrett Richards (knee) will begin light fielding drills Tuesday.

Richards, who is coming back from patella tendon surgery, is also slated to throw his sixth bullpen session of the spring. He's still holding out hope to be ready for Opening Day, but the Angels don't expect him to return until two or three weeks into the season.
Mar 4 - 12:20 PM

Corey Kluber is currently dealing with a case of the flu.

Kluber is currently scheduled to make his Cactus League debut Saturday, but Indians manager Terry Francona isn't sure if the illness will impact his schedule. Either way, it's not a long-term concern.
Mar 4 - 12:16 PM

Rusney Castillo will miss at least one week with a left oblique strain.

Castillo felt some pain in his side during Tuesday's game and was examined by team doctors Wednesday morning. He appeared relieved at the diagnosis, but he'll still have to miss some time. Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley, Jr. will get most of the playing time in center field for now.
Mar 4 - 12:07 PM

Steven Moya (back) is available off the bench Wednesday.

Moya was held out of the Tigers' Grapefruit League opener Tuesday due to back spasms, but he checked out fine Wednesday morning and is good to go. The 23-year-old is the Tigers' top position prospect, but figures to begin 2015 in the minors.
