The Washington Post reports Redskins owner Dan Snyder is not blocking a trade of Robert Griffin III.

A report from ESPN suggested coach Jay Gruden and GM Scot McCloughan would like to move on from Griffin, but they were meeting resistance from ownership. A source told The Washington Post the report was "100 percent wrong." Even if Washington wanted to move Griffin, they would struggle to find any takers. It would probably be best for all involved if Griffin moved on, but it is hard to see Washington cutting a quarterback they traded the farm for just three years ago.

Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants' starters are expected to play in the fourth preseason game.

Most coaches give their starters the game off with the regular season barely more than a week away, but Tom Coughlin is not most coaches. Even if the starters suit up, they are unlikely to see more than a series or two.

Cowboys QBs coach Wade Wilson said Tony Romo is "light years ahead" of where he was at this point last season.

Romo spent most of last offseason recovering from offseason back surgery. Healthy this year, he was able to participate in OTAs and minicamp for the first time since 2012. Despite the missed offseason, Romo posted the most efficient season of his career in 2014, averaging 8.5 yards per attempt and throwing a touchdown on 7.8 percent of his throws. Both of those numbers will come down this year, but Romo remains a solid QB1.

Updating a previous item, Raiders RT Menelik Watson is done for the year with a torn Achilles' tendon.

It was originally announced as an ankle injury. The Raiders will turn to 2014 free agent flop Austin Howard at right tackle, with J'Marcus Webb manning the starting position at right guard. It's a downgrade for Oakland's offensive line from an athleticism standpoint. Watson was having a strong training camp.

Mychal Rivera caught three passes for 42 yards in the Raiders' third preseason game.

Rivera remained Derek Carr's chain-moving safety valve, making tough catches over the middle. There was early-camp talk of Rivera losing his starting job to rookie Clive Walford, but Walford has missed almost all of training camp with a hamstring injury. Through three preseason affairs, Rivera has four catches for 61 yards. He'll be a low-ceiling TE2 in fantasy this season.

Rod Streater caught three passes for 20 yards in the Raiders' third preseason game.

Streater got off to a slow start at training camp, but he mixed in with the ones during Oakland's third preseason game, operating as the No. 3 wideout behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. The Raiders are expected to primarily run a shotgun/three-wide offense. If they do, Streater should be a regular alongside Cooper and Crabtree in three-receiver packages.

Roy Helu managed eight yards on four carries but caught two passes for 14 yards in the Raiders' third preseason game.

Helu made his preseason debut after battling injuries early in camp. He worked with the first-team offense, but entered the game behind Latavius Murray and sharing time with Trent Richardson. T-Rich seems like a lock to not make the 53, which would solidify Helu as Murray's top backup. Whether Helu opens the season as Oakland's passing-down back remains to be seen, but he's the Raiders' best option in that role.

David Johnson lost two yards on four carries but caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' third preseason game.

The third-round rookie took a step back from last week, fumbling on a first-quarter short-yardage carry and failing to maximize his running opportunities. The good news is Johnson saw some action with the first-team offense, but keep in mind Chris Johnson (hamstring) was scratched. With the Drew Stanton group in the second half, Johnson was a primary checkdown target and secured an eight-yard touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter, beating Raiders rookie LB Ben Heeney in coverage. Johnson's role is unclear entering the season, but he is very much a threat to Andre Ellington's workload. Strictly on the ground, Johnson has 17 carries for 64 yards this preseason.
