Jordy Nelson (knee) participated in his first full practice of Packers camp on Monday.
Coming off a 2015 ACL tear and early-camp knee tendinitis, Nelson worked with the first team in 11-on-11s after focusing on individual drills in last week's practices. "He looks just like Jordy," Randall Cobb observed. "He caught a deep ball. That’s what he does. It was great to see him out there."
Jaguars waived CB Demetrius McCray, LB Joplo Bartu, WR Shaq Evans, K Sam Ficken, CB Mike Hilton, RB Cameron Marshall, P Ryan Quigley, and WR Jamal Robinson.
McCray was shredded as a 12-game starter in 2014, and barely played last year. Evans played at UCLA and is a former late-round draft pick of the Jets.
Raiders waived/released WR Max McCaffrey, LS Andrew East, DT Leon Orr, DBs Chris Edwards, Chris Hackett, and Jimmy Hall, WR Joe Hansley, CB Tramain Jacobs, LB Lenny Jones, WR Nathan Palmer, K Giorgio Tevecchio, TE Colton Underwood, and G/C Terran Vaughn.
McCaffrey is the first son of Ed McCaffrey, and the older brother of Christian.
Cardinals waived/released TE Gerald Christian, RB/WR Amir Carlise, OG Jake Bernstein, OT Clay DeBord, LS Daniel Dillon, DT Iosia Iosia, CB Asa Jackson, WR Franky Okafor, CB Shaun Prater, P Garrett Swanson, and S Ty Zimmerman.
These are the Cardinals' first cuts. Christian was the 2015 draft's Mr. Irrelevant. He spent his entire first NFL season on injured reserve (knee).
Bengals waived/released K Zach Hocker, LB Jayson DiManche, WR Michael Bennett, FB Jeff Luc, TE John Peters, S Floyd Raven, DE Jack Gangwish, WR Antwane Grant, LB Darien Harris, QB Joe Licata, and CB Corey Tindal.
These are the Bengals' first round of cuts. Hocker never put serious heat on incumbent K Mike Nugent, who went 23-of-28 on field goals last season.
Seahawks released S Brandon Browner.
The Seahawks were trying to convert Browner from a press corner into a safety, and it didn't work. Browner is likely all out of gas at age 32. He has been released by the Patriots, Seahawks, and Saints over the past two offseasons.
Cardinals waived/injured QB Jake Coker.
Coker wasn't putting any heat on Matt Barkley for third-string duties, and was recently diagnosed with a knee injury that will likely require a scope. The Alabama alum will spend his rookie year in the Cardinals' I.R. list.
Browns acquired P Kasey Redfern in the Andy Lee trade.
Redfern is likely to now be the Browns' punter this season.
