Lonnie Chisenhall is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds due to what the team has termed a "possible head injury."

With Chisenhall sitting, Daniel Robertson draws the start in right field. Just how long Chisenhall might be out of action is not yet known, but this could just be a precautionary sidelining.
May 24 - 5:36 PM

Mets placed LHP Tommy Milone on the 10-day disabled list with a left knee sprain.

A timetable for Milone's return has not yet been laid out, but should clarify as he moves further away from the initial injury. It is not clear at this juncture when he sustained the knee sprain. In the short term, Josh Smoker or Rafael Montero will be starting in his place against the Pirates on Saturday.
May 24 - 5:32 PM

Travis d'Arnaud (wrist) is expected to be activated from the disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the Padres.

While Rene Rivera will be drawing the start at catcher on Wednesday, d'Arnaud's imminent activation would make him available as a pinch-hitting option. He is expected to be in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale vs. the Padres.
May 24 - 5:26 PM

Cole Hamels (oblique) played catch again on Wednesday.

Hamels also played catch on Tuesday, the first time he had thrown the ball since hitting the disabled list with a strained right oblique on July 2. There is still a relatively long road of recovery ahead of him, though, as he is not expected to rejoin the Rangers until some time in early July.
May 24 - 5:16 PM

J.D. Martinez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

No injury to report, here, just a regular day off. He will be available to pinch-hit in the contest. Tyler Collins draws the start in right field in his place and will hit eighth. Daniel Morris will be taking the mound for the Tigers on Wednesday, to be opposed by Charlie Morton.
May 24 - 5:10 PM

Adonis Garcia (heel) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett this weekend.

So long as Garcia can survive a few rehab games without setback, he will be activated from the disabled list on Monday or Tuesday. Achilles tendinitis has kept him on the shelf since May 16.
May 24 - 5:03 PM

Blake Swihart (finger) is in Fort Meyers and will begin to take part in extended spring training games.

Swihart has not played since April 29 due to a bruised finger. A concrete timetable for his return to minor league games has yet to clarify, but given that he is now working in extended spring training, he looks to be pretty close.
May 24 - 5:00 PM

Thursday's game between the Mariners and Nationals will start at 12:05 EST rather than 4:05 EST due to weather concerns.

The game has been moved up in the hopes of getting it in before the rain falls. Ariel Miranda will oppose Gio Gonzalez in the contest, assuming the weather deities do not have other plans.
