Ty Lawson returned to action on Thursday February 23.

Feb 24 - 3:18 AM

Willie Cauley-Stein played the game of his life during a 116-100 win over the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring a career-high 29 points with 10 rebounds, one block and three turnovers in 35 minutes.

DeMarcus who? Cauley-Stein showed off some moves in the low post we haven't seen all year. Cauley-Stein was also unassisted for five of his buckets and had three makes outside of the paint, so that's some positive growth as well. He becomes the franchise big man for now and will be playing big minutes as a starter or off the bench. He should be owned in all leagues.
Feb 24 - 2:11 AM

Buddy Hield scored 16 points with six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Those 16 points are the second-most he's scored since Jan. 2. Just about everyone ripped the Kings for their trade to land Hield as the centerpiece in the DeMarcus Cousins deal, but the Kings won by 16 while the Pelicans lost by 30 tonight. Trade stuff aside, Hield should be looking at minutes in the low 30s once he gets the offense down, but he's still not doing much outside of scoring. He's more of a points and scoring specialist for now.
Feb 24 - 2:04 AM

David West (thumb) returned to action on Thursday and had four points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and two blocks in 11 minutes off the bench.

He's been out since Jan. 18 and spent most of his night trying to shield teammate Draymond Green from the opposing team and the officials from the comfort of the Warriors bench. He serves a purpose for the Warriors and played well tonight, but as long as Green is healthy, West is nothing more than a good locker-room guy in Golden State.
Feb 24 - 2:03 AM

Tyreke Evans played 26 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer off the bench.

He played the three for the Kings in this game, but he handled the ball in both halfcourt and in transition. Interestingly, Evans took DeMarcus Cousins' old locker and vice versa in New Orleans. The Kings also going to Evans for 26 minutes right out of the gate is an encouraging sign for his playing time going forward. He is injury prone, but Evans is worth owning in standard leagues.
Feb 24 - 1:59 AM

Stephen Curry scored 20 points during the Warriors remarkable 50-point third quarter on Thursday night, finishing with 35 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four steals and six 3-pointers on 10-of-16 shooting.

The NBA All-Star Game, which featured a 192-182 final score, resulted in just one 50-point quarter, while the other seven came in between 39-49 points. And considering there was no defense played in that game, what the Warriors did against the defensive-minded Clippers tonight was amazing. The last time an NBA team scored 50 points in a quarter was 2014 and the last time the Warriors did it was in 1989. Curry was a beast tonight and broke a close game open by going on a crazy run over the last half of the third quarter. The Warriors hit 17-of-23 shots in the third, which was one more field goal than they hit in the entire first half.
Feb 24 - 1:56 AM

Ty Lawson scored eight points in a start at shooting guard against the Nuggets on Thursday with four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two turnovers in 31 minutes.

While he did play well, Lawson probably won't be sticking in the first unit for too long. Buddy Hield and Tyreke Evans will be vying for Lawson's minutes, and Darren Collison is locked in. Lawson is more of a 14-team point guard for now.
Feb 24 - 1:55 AM

Zaza Pachulia returned from an eight-game absence with a shoulder injury on Thursday and had six points, four rebounds, a steal and four blocks in 18 minutes.

There are rumors floating around that Andrew Bogut is soon to be heading back to the Warriors, which would be bad news for Pachulia. But then again, he wasn't really worth owning even when starting for the Dubs, while JaVale McGee moved back to the bench and played just 12 minutes in Zaza's return tonight.
