Keone Kela worked a perfect ninth inning while striking out the side Wednesday against the Yankees to nail down his 10th save.

Kela needed just 12 pitches, throwing nine for strikes, as he converted his 10th save in as many opportunities. Many will look to his 4.50 ERA, which is very unsightly for a closer, but all nine of the runs he has allowed have come in non-save situations. While they still count against the fantasy bottom line, he is lights out when working in save situations.

Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-4 and drove in two runs to tie the game in the ninth inning to key a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

He came to the plate with the bases loaded against closer Tyler Clippard with his team trailing by two in the ninth inning. He laced a single to center field that plated Mike Trout and Justin Upton. The next batter, Andrelton Simmons, also singled to drive in two more runs. Serving as the designated hitter, Ohtani also walked once and struck out twice in the contest. The two-way superstar has an exceptional .308 batting average and .582 slugging percentage with six homers and 19 RBI in addition to his exploits on the mound.

Doug Fister was touched up for eight runs - six earned - and 11 hits over just 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Yankees.

Fister hasn't won since March 30, a span of eight consecutive starts coming up empty. Homers have been a problem lately, as he has served up seven home runs across 24 innings over his past four outings. He'll try to turn things around Monday in Seattle to kick off a two-start week. He remains useful only in AL-only fantasy leagues at this point until he starts to tick off wins more regularly.

Didi Gregorius finished 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's loss in Texas.

Gregorius kicked off his night with a two-run shot off of Doug Fister but he was quiet the remainder of the contest. The homer was his first since April 27, snapping an 18-game drought without a round-tripper. It appears the two-game benching by manager Aaron Boone has lit a fire under Gregorius, who has hit safely in three straight games since returning to the lineup. Despite the lack of power recently, and a horrific batting average in May, he remains a must-start fantasy option through thick and thin.
May 24 - 12:00 AM

Blake Parker allowed three hits and a run in the ninth inning but still managed to secure the save against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

He allowed hits to the first three batters he faced and also issued an intentional walk. He benefited from a runner getting nailed at the plate on a potential sacrifice fly or else this could have been a bad blown save. Parker started the season as the Angels' closer but quickly lost the job. He's pitched well of late and that combined with Keynan Middleton's injury and poor performance from the rest of the bullpen has led to him regaining the ninth-inning role. He should continue to see most of the save chances moving forward despite today's shaky outing.
May 23 - 11:56 PM

Aaron Judge went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI over five at-bats in Wednesday's slugfest in Texas.

Judge and the Bronx Bombers were on the short end of a 12-10 battle which resembled a beer league softball game. The teams combined for six homers and 25 hits, as solid pitching was nowhere to be had. That's the kind of games which make fantasy owners smile. Judge's fantasy owners are also smiling because unless Judge has a change of heart he will not participate in the 2018 Home Run Derby in Washington.
May 23 - 11:55 PM

Gleyber Torres finished 1-for-5 with a three-run homer and two strikeouts in Wednesday's game in Texas.

Torres is up to eight homers, and he has swatted at least one home run in three consecutive games. He is finding Rangers pitching to his liking, as he has four homers and seven RBI in three games against Texas and four homers and 15 RBI across 25 contests against everyone else. He has been everything as advertised and if he continues to hit well he could slide up the batting order to enhance his fantasy appeal.
May 23 - 11:51 PM

Tyler Skaggs allowed three runs on six hits in five innings and escaped without a decision as his team beat the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

He served up solo homers to Devon Travis and Yangervis Solarte. On the bright side, he struck out six batters without issuing a free pass. He left with a three-run deficit but was spared a loss when the Angels scored four times to win in the ninth inning. It was a rare poor outing for the oft-injured hurler. He's been very good this year with a 3.11 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 10 starts.
