Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

Ozuna homered on Saturday and he backed it up with another bomb on Sunday to give him four on the season. Through his first 88 at-bats, he is slashing .227/.292/.432 with the quartet of homers, two doubles, two triples and 11 RBI.

Despite allowing five runs on 13 hits over 5 2/3 innings, Wily Peralta somehow picked up a win against the Marlins on Sunday.

Peralta should send a fruit basket and some sort of sympathy card to Marlins starter Tom Koehler, as the latter actually managed to pitch worse (allowing eight runs into the third) and gave Peralta a shot at a cheap victory. Neither pitcher struck out a batter. Victory is victory, of course. A victory for fantasy owners would be to bench the talented-but-struggling Peralta until he shows signs of righting the ship. At the moment, he holds a 7.50 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 18/13 K/BB ratio across 30 innings. A road start against the Reds shows next on his schedule.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that Tim Lincecum will finally hold his long-awaited showcase for interested teams on Friday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

At least 20 teams have expressed interest in attending the showcase at one point or another to see what the two-time National League Cy Young award winner has left in the tank. The 31-year-old has reportedly been throwing in the 90-91 mph range. With so many teams starved for rotation help, he shouldn't have much difficulty landing a job.

Tom Koehler was rocked hard in Sunday's loss to the Brewers, yielding eight runs on eight hits over 2 1/3 innings.

The start was exactly as bad as the outward numbers. After coughing up a pair of runs in the first inning, Koehler would go on to allow an additional six in the third. He did not strike out a batter during his short time on the mound. The horrific results took a middling 4.50 ERA and turned it into a wince-inducing 7.25 mark. That will come down over time, but fantasy owners have no cause to toss him into their rotations -- even in deeper NL-only leagues.

Nick Castellanos went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and four total RBI in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Twins.

The Twins actually held a 5-2 lead entering the sixth inning (such things do occur on occasion), at which point Castellanos cracked a three-run home run off starter Ricky Nolasco to tie the game at 5-5. Jarrod Saltalamacchia would provide the go-ahead RBI in the eighth inning as the Tigers improved to 14-10. For his part, Castellanos is hitting a cool .361/.371/.590 with four homers, 18 RBI and five doubles over 83 at-bats. He has accumulated eight hits over his last four games, with homers in two of his last three.

Miguel Sano went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.

The two doubles gave Sano six on the season. He has also whacked a trio of home runs. The soon-to-be 23-year-old is working with a .258/.377/.427 triple-slash over his first 89 at-bats. We should have a better idea of how the youngster's season as a whole might unfold once he has a larger sample size under his belt. There is no denying his talent.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez confirmed Sunday that Mike Foltynewicz will be recalled from Triple-A to start on Monday.

The Braves could have opted to skip the spot in the rotation after Saturday's rainout, but they'll stick with the plan to recall the young right-hander instead. Foltynewicz owns a 2.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 20/14 K/BB ratio over 22 innings this season at Triple-A Gwinnett.
May 1 - 6:03 PM

Mike Pelfrey pitched poorly in earning a no-decision against the Twins on Sunday, yielding five runs on eight hits over five-plus innings.

In a contest that won't be shown on an instructional pitching video any time soon, Pelfrey matched Twins starter Ricky Nolasco with five runs allowed. The Twins nicked Pelfrey for a pair of RBI singles in the first inning and would add an additional three runs in the bottom of the fifth -- all of which scored after Pelfrey had left the contest. They counted on the veteran's line anyway. Baseball is a cruel mistress. Avoid avoid avoid in fantasy. A home start against the Rangers shows next on his schedule, though that could end with disastrous consequence given the way Pelfrey has pitched of late.
