Dodgers recalled SHP Pat Venditte from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Venditte was optioned out Saturday but never actually had to leave since he's replacing Rich Hill (blister) on the roster. The switch-handed reliever will be used in middle relief.

Dodgers placed LHP Rich Hill on the 10-day disabled list with a left middle finger blister.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Hill will be sidelined for at least four weeks, as the team wants to give him plenty of rest in hopes that the blister will heal. Blisters have been an ongoing concern for Hill for years, of course, and he remains a very risky health bet moving forward. It's unclear at this point who will take his spot in the rotation.

Joe Musgrove (shoulder) will make his Pirates debut Friday against the Cardinals.

It had looked like it would be Wednesday, but manager Clint Hurdle officially announced Sunday that Friday will be Musgrove's debut with his new club. The right-hander has been out all season with a shoulder issue that cropped up in spring training but made it through four rehab starts with no issues, posting a 4.58 ERA and 17/2 K/BB ratio over 17 2/3 innings. Musgrove should be picked up in deeper mixed leagues, although it might be a good idea to keep him on the bench for a start or two to see how he looks.

Dominic Smith made his first professional start in right field Saturday at Triple-A Las Vegas.

When asked Sunday about experimenting with Smith in the outfield, Mets manager Mickey Callaway replied, "Ummmm, we don’t have many outfielders." If Smith looks adequate enough defensively in the outfield, it's possible the Mets give him a look. However, this thing is obviously in its early stages and Yoenis Cespedes (hip) might be back by the time Smith would be ready, anyway. Another aspect of this is Smith playing the outfield could free up first base at Vegas for Peter Alonso.

Seranthony Dominguez nailed down his first major league save by retiring all six batters he faced in Saturday's win over the Cardinals.

Dominguez breezed through the eighth inning and Phillies manager Gabe Kapler decided to send him back out for the ninth to protect a one-run lead, which he was able to do when he got Matt Carpenter to fly out to the warning track to end it. The young fireballer probably has the best stuff in the Phils' bullpen and now looks firmly in the mix for saves, although it's hard to trust Kapler to use him or anyone else regularly in save opportunities at this point.

Nate Jones retired the only two batters he faced Saturday against the Rangers to pick up his third save of the season.

Bruce Rondon and Jace Fry pitched ahead of him, with the struggling Joakim Soria nowhere to be found. Jones also notched a save on Thursday and looks to be manager Rick Renteria's preferred closer at the moment, although it's still possible the skipper will do some mixing and matching.

Lonnie Chisenhall (calf) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

"He'll play three or four innings on Monday, workout on Tuesday and play four or so innings on Wednesday," said Indians manager Terry Francona. "They're going to go every other day with him so they can start building him up." Chisenhall has been out since early April with a strained right calf and figures to need a decent number of rehab at-bats.

Diamondbacks transferred RHP Randall Delgado from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Clay Buchholz. Delgado has been out all season with oblique and shoulder issues.
