Rams LT Jake Long (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
It puts Long on track to start Sunday's game against the Cardinals, but he has a few more hurdles to clear. His status should be updated some time in the next 48 hours.
Golden Tate (hip) returned to Seahawks practice on Thursday, getting in a full session.
Tate is fully expected to start against the 49ers. He'll be on the WR3 borderline in what will likely be a low-scoring affair at Candlestick Park.
Seahawks RCB Brandon Browner (groin) was downgraded to "out" in Thursday's practice.
Browner raised hope that he might be ready for Week 14 by getting in a limited practice on Wednesday, but mid-week downgrades are almost always an ominous sign. Browner is highly unlikely to return against the 49ers.
Percy Harvin (hip) remained out of Seahawks practice Thursday.
Barring a surprise Friday return, Harvin can be safely ruled out for Week 14. The question is whether he'll return before the postseason. If you're hurting for a roster spot, Harvin is a drop that's unlikely to come back to haunt you.
Frank Gore (ankle) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.
Gore is in no danger of missing Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Mired in a three-game slump, Gore is just an RB2 for Week 14.
Ben Tate (ribs, ankle) is active for Week 14 against the Jaguars.
Tate didn't get in a single full practice, but the Texans were just managing his reps on a short week. Tate got erased by the Jags in Week 12, gaining all of one yard on seven carries, but is a legit RB2 against one of the league's softest run defenses. Inactive for the Texans are QB T.J. Yates, OG Alex Kupper, OT Andrew Gardner, OG Cody White, LB Ricky Sapp, DE Tim Jamison and S Jawanza Starling.
Jaguars declared WR Stephen Burton, QB Ricky Stanzi, RB Justin Forsett, DT Brandon Deaderick, WR Jeremy Ebert, OG Jacques McClendon and FS Josh Evans inactive for Week 14 against the Texans.
Burton is week to week with a concussion. Evans (shoulder) had been previously ruled out. Winston Guy will start in his absence. Deaderick is a healthy scratch with DE Jeremy Mincey returning from his team-imposed suspension.
Cecil Shorts (groin) is active for Week 14 against the Texans.
Shorts has yet to miss a game this season despite considerable missed practice time. Coming off back-to-back solid efforts, he's a low-end WR2 against Johnathan Joseph and the Texans' pass defense.
