Phillies optioned RHP Luis Garcia to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Garcia was only up for a few days, throwing one scoreless inning with the big club. He should get another shot with Philly at some point this season.

Phillies recalled LHP Adam Morgan from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Morgan will start on Friday against Cleveland, taking the rotation spot of Charlie Morton (hamstring). The left-hander held a 3.57 ERA in his first three starts for Lehigh Valley but isn't a strong fantasy option.

The Pirates have extended the contracts of their entire coaching staff through 2017.

This does not include manager Clint Hurdle, who was already under contract through 2017 with a club option for 2018. It does, however, including pitching coach Ray Searage, who is widely viewed as one of the best pitching coaches in the game. It's obviously good news for the Pirates' hurlers.

Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports that the Marlins are expected to call up Cole Gillespie to replace Dee Gordon on the roster.

Gordon, of course, just got popped with a PED suspension. Gillespie will need to be added to the 40-man roster, but they have an extra spot now because Gordon won't take up a spot during his 80-game suspension. Gillespie is a career .253/.309/.366 hitter over 427 plate appearances at the major league level.

MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports that Tim Lincecum could have a showcase for teams next week.

We've been waiting for said showcase for months now, but 20 teams are expected to be in attendance whenever it finally takes place. Heyman hears that Lincecum was "consistently" in the 90-91 mph range on Monday and is likely to throw again this weekend. The 31-year-old is coming off hip surgery and had a 4.13 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 60/38 K/BB ratio in 76 1/3 innings last season for the Giants. It's tough to have high expectations at this point.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Athletics are calling up Jesse Hahn to start Saturday against the Astros.

It was previously reported that Hahn wouldn't be called up this weekend due to a blister, but he's apparently feeling better. Sean Manaea is making his major league debut Friday, so it's unclear who Hahn will bump from the rotation. Chris Bassitt is probably the most likely candidate. Hahn has posted a 2.04 ERA and 13/9 K/BB ratio in 17 2/3 innings through four starts this season with Triple-A Nashville.

Rays manager Kevin Cash indicated Thursday that it's possible Erasmo Ramirez will remain in the team's bullpen.

Ramirez has made just one start so far, as the Rays have essentially gone with a four-man rotation given all of their off days. They'll need a regular fifth starter in May, but Cash sounds like he likes the idea of keeping Ramirez in the bullpen. "He's been impacting us in a big way and he's done it in an even bigger way (as a reliever," Cash said. If the Rays do wind up keeping Ramirez in the bullpen, that could open the door for Blake Snell.

Jeremy Hazelbaker was checked for a possible oblique injury during Wednesday's game, but he took batting practice Thursday and said he was "good to go."

Hazelbaker looked to stretch out his back/oblique after a swing in the eighth inning Wednesday. Although he insists he's fine, it's notable because he was not among the many left-handed bats the Cardinals started Thursday. Keep an eye on this, as it wouldn't be a surprise if Hazelbaker were attempting to hide an injury here given his situation.
