Jets C Nick Mangold (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 14, and could require surgery.
It's sounding like Mangold's season is most likely over. He could be headed to injured reserve before Sunday's game against the 49ers to free up a roster spot. Wesley Johnson is manning the pivot in Mangold's absence. One month shy of his 33rd birthday, Mangold is signed through 2017.
Adam Humphries (concussion) returned to practice on Thursday.
He's still in the league's concussion protocol but should have a chance to play Sunday against New Orleans. Tampa Bay's receiving corps got even thinner last week when Cecil Shorts went down with a torn ACL. Mike Evans is the only Bucs receiver with any fantasy significance.
Jordan Reed (shoulder) participated in individual drills for the second straight day Thursday, but remained in "obvious pain."
Per ESPN's John Keim, Reed was in "more discomfort" than he was Wednesday. His Week 14 status is obviously looking ominous. We could know Reed's availability by Friday. Fantasy owners should plan on Vernon Davis getting the start.
Browns coach Hue Jackson admits Robert Griffin III's starting stint is an "audition" for next season.
Griffin, who simply hasn't been the same since his magical rookie season, is going to have a hard time acing it. Jackson also said "availability" was the most important thing for a quarterback. RGIII has rarely had it. Jackson said he made the decision to start Griffin after watching tape of Wednesday's practice. It's an intriguing experiment that will probably amount to nothing.
Mohamed Sanu (groin) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier that Sanu isn't likely to play this week. Atlanta's receiving corps is suddenly in rough shape with Sanu hurt and Julio Jones dealing with turf toe. Taylor Gabriel set a season-high in targets last week and could be in for another big workload Sunday against Los Angeles.
Theo Riddick (wrist) returned to practice on Thursday.
He sat out with a wrist injury on Wednesday but was seen at the open portion of Thursday's session. There's no concern about his status for Week 14. Riddick has settled in as a weekly RB3 in fantasy.
Julio Jones (turf toe) was limited to side work in Thursday's practice.
Jones took part in the walk-through, but not team drills. He'll be listed as "DNP." Coach Dan Quinn is hoping he can get in a limited session on Friday. ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported the Falcons are "optimistic" Jones will suit up against the Rams, but he's genuinely questionable. Even if he does play, it's quite possible he'll be a decoy. Jones is shaping up as a high-risk, high-reward option for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) returned to practice Thursday.
Bennett sat out Wednesday and has been missing practice time for the past several weeks. It's clear he's not 100 percent, and Bennett's role in the passing game has fallen off dramatically, even in the absence of Rob Gronkowski. Bennett will be a dart-throw TE1 against the Ravens' No. 1 TE defense.
