Jean Segura finished 3-for-4 with two RBI as the Brewers beat the Cardinals 6-4 on Saturday night.

Segura got the Brewers on the board with a two-run triple in the top of the third inning and also slapped two singles. He has an incredible .361/.404/.582 slash line through 170 plate appearances this season.

Jason Castro had two hits and scored the winning run in the Astros' 4-2 win over the Pirates on Saturday.

Castro led off the top of the 11th inning with a double off the wall and scored on a Matt Dominguez fielder's choice. The catcher owns just a .243/.282/.393 line on the year, but he's got more pop than that and he seems to be the Astros' catcher of the future. He's still just an option for AL-only leagues at this point.

Marco Estrada yielded four earned runs in 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.

The Brewers won it in 10 innings, but no thanks to Estrada. He gave up seven hits and issued four walks while tallying only two strikeouts. The outing moved his ERA from 5.32 to 5.44 and his WHIP from 1.36 to 1.42. He will try to bounce back next week vs. Pittsburgh.

Jose Altuve went 3-for-5 against the Pirates on Saturday, his first game since May 13.

Altuve was on the bereavement list for the past five days, but it didn't show in his first game back. Altuve just continued to hit, raising his average to .342 in the process. The only reason he doesn't get the attention given to other star second basemen is the fact that he plays for the Astros.

A.J. Burnett allowed one run over seven innings but took a no-decision as the Pirates lost to the Astros in extra innings on Saturday.

Burnett had the win stolen from him when Mark Melancon surrendered the lead an inning later, but it doesn't take away from his performance. Burnett scattered five hits and four walks in the outing, striking out seven. The right-hander continues his stellar post-Yankees career, as he now owns a 2.57 ERA and 1.10 WHIP on the year. He'll toe the slab again Friday against the Brewers.
May 18 - 11:08 PM

Lance Lynn gave up four earned runs in five innings Saturday in the Cardinals' loss to the Brewers.

Lynn struggled with his command, throwing only 56 of his 89 pitches for strikes while yielding eight hits and two walks. He escaped with a no-decision only because the Cardinals lost in extra innings. Lynn will take a 6-1 record, 3.27 ERA and 1.16 WHIP into his next outing against the Dodgers. It will be a nice test.

Erik Bedard allowed two runs in six innings and took a no-decision as the Astros beat the Pirates on Saturday.

The start was Bedard's longest outing of the year, and it was the second-straight appearance in which he's allowed just two runs. Still, there's very little to like about Bedard's prospects for the rest of the season. His next start will come Friday against the A's.

Rays recalled LHP Jeff Beliveau from Triple-A Durham.

It's believed Beliveau will be up solely for Sunday, as it's already been confirmed that Jake Odorizzi will be promoted to start in place of David Price on Monday. Beliveau, a lefty, has an underwhelming 4.35 ERA in 10 appearances this season with Durham.
