Jake Marisnick is not in the Astros' lineup Friday.

The slumping Marisnick has now sat out two of the last four games and three of the last seven. Preston Tucker is in left field, while Colby Rasmus slides over to center.
May 22 - 3:58 PM

Josh Donaldson is not in the Blue Jays' lineup Friday.

It appears to simply be a routine day of rest. Danny Valencia is handling third base with Donaldson out.
May 22 - 3:56 PM

Orioles optioned INF Rey Navarro to Triple-A Norfolk.

Navarro batted .276/.276/.448 with one homer while up with the big club. He was no longer needed with Everth Cabrera (foot) back from the disabled list.
May 22 - 3:54 PM

Orioles activated INF Everth Cabrera from the 15-day disabled list.

He missed the minimum amount of time with a bruised left foot. Cabrera will give the O's another option at second base and at shortstop when J.J. Hardy needs a rest.
May 22 - 3:53 PM

Alex Wood has been scratched from Friday's scheduled start against the Brewers due to a stomach virus.

Eric Stults will fill in. Wood should be feeling up to rejoining the rotation in a couple days, although it's unclear at the moment when the Braves will slot him back in.
May 22 - 3:51 PM

Albert Pujols (hand) is back in the Angels' lineup Friday.

Pujols sat out Thursday after being hit in the left hand by a pitch, but he wound up missing just the one game. He's batting .231/.288/.413 with seven homers for the Halos this season.
May 22 - 3:49 PM

Red Sox optioned OF Jackie Bradley to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Bradley has gone hitless in 11 at-bats in the majors this season. He has nothing left to prove in the minors, but the Red Sox simply have better options for their outfield at the moment.
May 22 - 3:41 PM

Red Sox recalled OF Rusney Castillo from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Castillo is starting in right field on Friday and should be at the position for the Red Sox most days going forward. The Cuban defector has dealt with a few injuries since spring training, but he batted .293/.341/.440 with two homers, 10 RBI and six stolen bases at Pawtucket to earn the promotion. His power/speed combo makes him worth starting in fantasy lineups right away.

  • 5/21 Gameday Thread

Things are getting heated in Atlanta. Braves just went Michael Pineda on Will Smith, thrown out for a foreign substance.

Didn't see a thread him. That means this is a good forum.

Last year after Blackmon and Dickerson did their thing... I promised myself that any Rockie with starting job = pick up ...
  • Ryan Howard 2015 Outlook

Seriously no thread? I know he is ancient but he now has more homers then Votto and Carlos Santana.
