Drew Brees completed 30-of-47 passes for 313 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Saints' Week 16 loss the Falcons.

The Saints are eliminated from the playoffs with the loss. Brees was sacked five times by a Falcons team that had 16 sacks total entering the contest. He was under pressure most of the game, including on his final interception that really ended the contest. Brees will finish his up and down season Week 17 against the Bucs.

Jamaal Charles rushed nine times for 29 yards in the Chiefs' Week 16 loss to the Steelers, adding five receptions for 48 additional yards.

Charles also lost a fumble. With everything on the line for his team, coach Andy Reid gave Charles just 14 touches in a game where Alex Smith chucked up 45 passes. It was another extremely disappointing game plan as the Chiefs lost for the fourth time in five games. Charles' fumble was a dubious call, as replay appeared to show his knee touching down before the ball came out. Charles and the Chiefs will square off with the Chargers in Week 17, where they'll need a victory to have any shot at the postseason.

Jordy Nelson caught nine passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 16 win one the Bucs.

Nelson couldn't get anything going downfield with Aaron Rodgers, with most of his yards coming on underneath routes. His touchdown came on a one-yard slant late in the fourth quarter. Nelson secured all nine of his targets and didn't have any drops this week. The Packers play the Lions for the NFC North title in Week 17.
Dec 21 - 4:45 PM

Matthew Stafford completed 22-of-39 passes for 243 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 16 win at Chicago.

Stafford was not sharp at all. Both of his interceptions came in the red-zone and both were ill-advised throws. He also missed a wide open Joique Bell on a wheel route that would have gone for a touchdown in the second half. This is the fourth time this season Stafford has failed to throw a touchdown pass and he has just 19 of them through 15 games. The Lions will need much more out of Stafford if they're going to win the NFC North at Green Bay in Week 17.
Dec 21 - 4:45 PM

Case Keenum completed 20-of-42 passes for 185 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the Texans' 25-13, Week 16 win over the Ravens.

The Texans tried to keep their starting quarterback a secret, failing to announce one before kickoff, but the wide belief was it would be Keenum. After going 0-8 with the Texans in 2013, Keenum was signed off the Rams' practice squad on Monday and gets his first NFL win Sunday. He started off hot, picking on Ravens RCB Rashaan Melvin, but eventually cooled off considerably after the opening drive. Keenum still played better than expected considering the circumstances. The 8-7 Texans close out the year against the Jaguars in Week 17.
Dec 21 - 4:44 PM

Shane Vereen rushed six times for 38 yards in the Patriots' Week 16 win over the Jets, adding a 12-yard reception.

Vereen entered the game to high expectations in the absence of LeGarrette Blount (shoulder), but as has become his custom, couldn't deliver. Vereen found himself in a three-man committee with Jonas Gray and Brandon Bolden, with six of his touches coming on one third-quarter series. In Vereen's defense, he should have gotten the ball much more. Vereen looked spry in the open field, and went for five or more yards on 5-of-7 touches. Vereen will do battle with the Bills' slumping run defense in Week 17.
Dec 21 - 4:42 PM

Brian Hoyer completed 7-of-13 passes for 134 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Browns' Week 16 loss to the Panthers.

He added two scrambles for 19 yards. Hoyer entered Sunday's game in the second quarter after Johnny Manziel suffered a hamstring injury. He took three sacks among 16 dropbacks, but did lead two scoring drives, one ending in a field goal and the other a Jordan Cameron 81-yard touchdown. Manziel seems unlikely to play in the Browns' regular season finale, which would give Hoyer the start against Baltimore.
Dec 21 - 4:40 PM

Geno Smith completed 17-of-27 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the Jets' 17-16, Week 16 loss to the Patriots.

Smith added three rushes for nine yards. Smith wasn't bad in what was generally a slugfest, but his pick was an ill-advised throw off his back foot as he was getting sacked. Smith lost Percy Harvin midway through the third quarter to a rib injury. Smith has quietly played something approaching well over the past three weeks, but still hasn't shown nearly enough for the Jets to commit to him for 2015. The Jets travel to Miami for their 2014 finale in Week 17.
