Orioles designated INF/OF Yamaico Navarro for assignment.

Navarro was batting .254/.357/.353 in 207 plate appearances and had committed 13 errors in the field this season at Triple-A Norfolk. The 25-year-old utilityman seems likely to make it through waivers.

Josh Willingham - OF - Twins

Josh Willingham (knee) is back in the Twins' starting lineup on Tuesday evening versus the White Sox.

Willingham got a cortisone shot in his troublesome left knee on Sunday. He'll try to play through the pain.

Anthony Rizzo - 1B - Cubs

Anthony Rizzo is not in the Cubs' starting lineup on Tuesday night against the rival Cardinals.

It's the first day off of the season for the young first baseman, who has 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 68 games this season. Cody Ransom will get the nod in his place against Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright.

Matt Harvey - S - Mets

Matt Harvey took a no-hitter into the seventh before giving up three runs in seven-plus innings Tuesday in a victory over the Braves.

Jason Heyward's infield single ended the no-hit bid; Harvey actually had a play on him, but he didn't think he could make the tag after grabbing the ball towards the first base line and decided to flip to first, which happened to be vacant. Harvey got through that inning scoreless anyway, but the eighth was a different story. He loaded the bases with no outs and then got pulled. After he left, all three runners came around to score. The Braves' official scorer made an egregious call on what should have been ruled an error on David Wright, or he would have only allowed one earned run. It took some of the shine of a dominant effort in which Harvey struck out 13. Still, he did pick up his first win since May 17 and his second since April 19.

Robinson Chirinos - C - Rangers

Rangers recalled C Robinson Chirinos from Triple-A Round Rock.

Chirinos will provide depth off the Rangers' bench. He has three hits in 12 big-league at-bats this year.

Bobby Parnell - R - Mets

Bobby Parnell picked up a four-out save Tuesday in the first game of the doubleheader against the Braves.

Parnell struck out Chris Johnson to bail the Mets out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth and then pitched a scoreless ninth to save the 4-3 game. It was one of his best performances of the season, and he's now 10-for-13 saving games.

Joseph Ortiz - R - Rangers

Rangers recalled LHP Joseph Ortiz from Triple-A Round Rock.

Ortiz has a 5.13 ERA in 20 appearances this year in the major leagues. He will operate in middle relief.

Alex Wood - R - Braves

Alex Wood came out of his spot start Tuesday after allowing one run in three innings against the Mets.

The Braves never gave any official word, but it appeared that Wood was suffering from a finger blister. He impressed before departing, striking out five. The one run he allowed came on a misplay from third baseman Chris Johnson.
