Indians activated OF Austin Jackson from the 10-day disabled list.

Jackson has been out nearly all month with a hyperextended left big toe. He'll see some starts versus lefties.
May 26 - 3:13 PM

The first game of Friday's doubleheader between the Tigers and White Sox has been postponed due to rain.

The nightcap is still scheduled to be played, but they'll now try for a doubleheader on Saturday. Buck Farmer and Mike Pelfrey had been slated to start the afternoon game, and it's unclear whether they'll be pushed back to the night game or moved to Saturday.
May 26 - 3:11 PM

Daniel Murphy is not in the Nationals' lineup Friday.

Ryan Zimmerman is also getting a day off. The Nats are going with Wilmer Difo at second base and Adam Lind at first.
May 26 - 3:05 PM

Nationals acquired OF Ryan Raburn from the White Sox in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

Raburn effectively is replacing Chris Heisey (biceps), although he's not immediately being added to the 25-man roster. The veteran lefty masher was hitting .277/.419/.434 with three homers at Triple-A Charlotte.
May 26 - 3:03 PM

White Sox second base prospect Yoan Moncada has been activated from Triple-A Charlotte's 7-day disabled list.

Moncada was placed on the DL on May 18 with a left thumb injury. The top prospect will return to a .331/.401/.504 batting line with six homers and 10 steals through 34 games.
May 26 - 2:59 PM

Andrew McCutchen is batting sixth for the Pirates on Friday versus the Mets.

It's the first time in his career that he's hit any lower than cleanup. McCutchen is in an 11-for-70 tailspin at the plate that's dropped his season line to .203/.274/.360. He faces the tall task of trying to snap out of his funk against Jacob deGrom.
May 26 - 2:55 PM

Christian Yelich (hip) is back in the Marlins' lineup Friday.

Yelich hasn't played since exiting Tuesday's game with right hip flexor tightness, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. He's in center field and batting third against Jesse Chavez and the Angels.
May 26 - 2:50 PM

Miguel Cabrera is not in the Tigers' lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader versus the White Sox.

Ian Kinsler isn't starting, either, as the Tigers have Alex Avila at first base, Andrew Romine at second base, John Hicks catching and Jose Iglesias in the leadoff spot. Both Cabrera and Kinsler figure to be back in there for the nightcap.
