Padres optioned LHP Tyler Webb to Triple-A El Paso.

The left-hander appeared in just two games for the Padres, registering an 8.10 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 3/2 K/BB ratio across his 3 1/3 innings of work. He should get another opportunity with the big league club at some point this season.

Padres activated 1B/OF Wil Myers from the 10-day disabled list.

Myers has been sidelined for the last two weeks due to nerve irritation in his right arm. Before landing on the disabled list, he was 3-for-12 (.250) with one homer and one RBI.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Matt Koch from Triple-A Reno.

Koch will start for the Diamondbacks' on Friday in place of the injured Taijuan Walker. If he performs well, he could have a chance to stick around in the D'Backs' rotation. The 27-year-old owns a 3.15 ERA and 0.80 WHIP across 20 sporadic innings at the big league level over the last three seasons.

A.J. Pollock is absent from the Diamondbacks' starting lineup on Friday.

It looks to be nothing more than just a regular day of rest for the dynamic outfielder. Jarrod Dyson is sliding over to start in center field while Daniel Descalso starts in left field and will bat cleanup against Tyson Ross and the Padres.
Apr 20 - 6:11 PM

Rangers released RHP Steve Delabar.

Delabar inked a minor league deal over the winter but gets the boot after posting a 4.77 ERA over five relief appearances at Triple-A Round Rock. Yovani Gallardo has officially been added to Round Rock's roster in Delabar's place.

Chris Owings (head) is available off the bench Friday.

Owings was involved in a collision with teammate A.J. Pollock in the outfield Thursday, but he passed a concussion test that night and again on Friday. He got off to a great start this season but is currently in a 2-for-22 skid at the plate.
Apr 20 - 5:59 PM

Adam Eaton (ankle) played catch in the outfield on Friday.

He will not, however, be activated from the disabled list Friday as originally hoped. Eaton has not had a setback, but rather it seems he just needs a little more time. He's been out since mid-April with a bone bruise in his left ankle.

Nationals purchased the contract of RHP Carlos Torres from Triple-A Syracuse.

Torres was inked to a minor league contract in late March and earned a promotion with four scoreless appearances in the minors. The 35-year-old's performance regressed last season in Milwaukee, but his arm has proved resilient and he'll offer the Nationals some protection in the bullpen.
