Coach Mike Pettine called out CB Joe Haden Monday.

Jaguars signed S Sherrod Martin.

Martin is finally back in the league after tearing his ACL and MCL in December of 2012. He started 31-of-32 games for the Panthers between 2010-11.

The New York Daily News suggests Geno Smith needs to perform better Week 4 or the Jets "brain trust" will have to take a long, hard look at the quarterback spot.

Smith's two bad interceptions Monday night killed the Jets, but playing without Eric Decker is brutal. Slot man Jeremy Kerley is a slot man stretched badly as a No. 1 WR, and David Nelson/Greg Salas/Jeff Cumberland couldn't beat a drum. Smith has shown more than enough improvement this year to have a longer leash. If Rex Ryan goes to Michael Vick at some point, he'll just be trying to save his own job and not thinking about the long-term health for the organization.

Arian Foster's latest hamstring injury is to the same one that bothered him during the preseason.

Foster missed the first two weeks of camp way back in late-July due to this hamstring. After racking up 55 touches in the first two weeks, he had to sit out the Week 3 loss to the Giants. "As soon as I feel 100 percent, I'll be out there," he said. "It's my hamstring's call." Recurring soft-tissue issues are always scary, even if this latest strain is considered minor. Alfred Blue is shaping up as a must-own for the foreseeable future.

The Ravens are expected to use a committee to replace Dennis Pitta's production in the lineup.

Losing Pitta for the year is a major blow to a Gary Kubiak offense that features the tight end. He had 16 catches on 21 targets through three weeks. "We're going to play our good players," coach John Harbaugh said. "So, who's on the field is going to depend on who are good players are and how the coaches decide to attack." The new starting tight end will be Owen Daniels, but he can't separate at age 31 and is a poor bet to sustain health. Versatile fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who led the Ravens in catches in the preseason, will also get more involved. And Kubiak may be forced to run more three-wide sets that bring Marlon Brown into play. Consider Daniels, whose best trait is knowing the offense like the back of his hand, a low-ceiling add.

Bears SS Ryan Mundy suffered a "serious stinger" in Monday night's Week 3 win over the Jets.

Mundy exited early in the first half. Prior to leaving, he returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown. The Bears lost both Mundy and FS Chris Conte (shoulder) to injuries against the Jets. Career special teamer Danny McCray and rookie Brock Vereen were forced to step in. The safety spots remain question marks in the Windy City. Mundy has never missed a game in six seasons.
Sep 23 - 12:44 AM

Bilal Powell rushed for 13 yards on two carries and caught two passes for six yards in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Bears.

Powell didn't see much, if any, action until the final drive when the Jets were in pass-first mode. He has no fantasy value as the distant No. 3 back.
Sep 23 - 12:40 AM

Jace Amaro caught three passes for 54 yards in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Bears.

Amaro was targeted four times on the night, and played on the outside a bit with Eric Decker sidelined for most of the game with a hamstring injury. The lone target Amaro didn't reel in, he dropped. There's no re-draft value here.
