Carlos Rodon (biceps) will rejoin the White Sox' rotation this week.

Manager Rick Renteria hinted Saturday that Rodon was ready to go and he made it official Sunday. It's unclear which day he'll make his 2017 debut, but he would be on regular rest Wednesday against the Yankees. Rodon has been on the shelf all season with left biceps tendinitis.

Manager Terry Francona just can't quit Michael Martinez. The 34-year-old will be in Triple-A Columbus as utility depth.

Kemp had been slated to miss a third straight start with a tight hamstring, but he talked his way into the lineup. He's in left field and batting cleanup against Zach Davies and the Brewers.

Angels optioned RHP Eduardo Paredes to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Paredes allowed a couple runs over 2 2/3 innings in his major league debut Friday. He looks to have a bright future as a reliever but will get some more seasoning in the minors before he returns.

Matt Kemp (hamstring) remained out of the Braves' lineup Sunday.

Kemp hasn't played since his left hamstring tightened up on him Thursday. The hope is that he'll be ready to go Tuesday following Monday's off day. Danny Santana is in left field.

David Price dealt with a cracked fingernail during Saturday's start versus the Angels.

It didn't result in an early exit, as Price threw 103 pitches over his six innings. The left-hander has dealt with the same issue before and he's expected to be fine for his next outing.
