Mike Moustakas hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh to help the Royals beat the Tigers 8-5 on Sunday.

The homer came off of Buck Farmer, and it broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the seventh. He now has six homers on the season, and he's slugging a robust .612 mark on his 2018 campaign. In what is clearly a rebuilding year for the Royals, we should start hearing trade rumors about Moustakas soon. It won't matter where he's playing if he keeps hitting like this in terms of his fantasy value.

Andrew Miller pitched a scoreless eighth inning and struck out two in the Indians' victory over the Orioles on Sunday.

Miller now has three holds on the season. He's allowed five hits on the year, and he's struck out 16 over his 9 1/3 innings. Even without saves, Miller has fantasy relevance because of his ability to miss bats and keep hitters off the bases. There aren't many better relievers in baseball.
Apr 22 - 4:29 PM

Manny Machado homered twice in a 7-3 loss to the Indians on Sunday.

Both homer came off of Corey Kluber, and Machado now has eight on the season. The Orioles aren't very good, but Machado is. He now has a .356/.434/.713 line to begin his 2018 campaign. We wonder when we'll start hearing the trade rumors for the 25-year-old shortstop, as it's pretty clear that Baltimore isn't going to contend in Machado's last year under contract.
Apr 22 - 4:26 PM

Matt Kemp is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup for Sunday night's showdown against the Nationals.

It's surprising, seeing as Kemp is a .318/.333/.591 hitter with a homer and six RBI in 24 career plate appearances against Jeremy Hellickson. Joc Pederson is starting in left field and batting fifth for the Dodgers on Sunday.
Apr 22 - 4:26 PM

Andrew Cashner allowed eight hits and four runs over six innings in a loss to the Indians on Sunday.

The one bright spot for Cashner was that he was able to strike out seven while walking just two, but outside of that the right-hander was ineffective against the Cleveland lineup. Cashner is back on the mound on Friday in a home start against the Tigers.
Apr 22 - 4:23 PM

Corey Kluber picked up his third win over the season while giving up three runs in seven innings against the Orioles on Sunday.

Kluber wasn't as sharp as he has been in his other starts, but the 2017 Cy Young winner was still able to have an effective outing by keeping the aggressive Baltimore lineup off-balance -- for the most part. Manny Machado did hit two homers off the ace, but his ERA still sits at a very crisp 1.96. He'll look to lower that in his next start on Friday against the Mariners.
Apr 22 - 4:19 PM

Jose Ramirez blasted two homers on Sunday in a 7-3 victory over the Orioles.

Ramirez also drew a walk. The homers give him six on the season, and they also give him three in his last two games. The hits haven't dropped in for the 2017 MVP candidate yet as seen in his .236 average, but his .353 on-base percentage and .528 slugging percentage are much more indicative of the talent in Ramirez's switch-hitting bat. There's no reason to think he won't be among the better fantasy hitters in the American League again in 2018 when all is said and done.
Apr 22 - 4:16 PM

Teoscar Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a homer in a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.

Hernandez homer was the only run of the game for the Blue Jays, and it came off of Luis Severino in the top of the sixth inning. What a sensational start to the 2018 campaign it's been for the former Houston prospect, as he now owns a .343/.395/.743 line for his efforts. If you haven't yet, you should add Hernandez to your dynasty roster right now. He's obviously worth consideration in redraft leagues as well.
