Jason Heyward is out of Tuesday's lineup against the White Sox.

Ben Zobrist, Albert Almora, Jr., and Ian Happ will start from right to left in Chicago's outfield. Zobrist is hitting leadoff against lefty Carlos Rodon.

Tyler Chatwood (calf) said he felt strong after throwing one simulated inning Monday.

Chatwood, who landed on the disabled list earlier this month with a strained right calf, said he threw about 20 pitches. He's eligible to return on Wednesday, but it's unclear if he'll be ready by then. Chatwood owns a 4.74 ERA over 19 starts this season and could pitch out of the bullpen upon his return.

According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com, Rangers general manager Jon Daniels told rival teams Monday that the club is open to trading Yu Darvish for the "right deal."

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported Monday afternoon that there's been "little indication" that the Rangers will trade Darvish, but clearly they are willing to listen to offers as they evaluate their position in the American League Wild Card race. After a loss on Monday, the Rangers find themselves 3.5 games back. The Dodgers have been mentioned most prominently in regard to Darvish in recent days.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Nationals are prepared to pursue Athletics right-hander Sonny Gray if Stephen Strasburg's forearm issue lingers.

The Nationals haven't been mentioned in talks much so far, but that could change after Strasburg was forced to exit his start Sunday with forearm stiffness. It's worth noting that the Nationals and Athletics have worked together on multiple trades in recent years. The Brewers, Yankees, and Astros are among the other clubs who have been linked to Gray in recent days. Gray is lined up to start Tuesday against the Blue Jays in what could be his final outing in an A's uniform.

Melky Cabrera (foot) went 1-for-5 with a single and a run scored in his return to action Monday against the Cubs.

Cabrera left Sunday's game with a bruised left foot, but it's not a big deal. The 32-year-old outfielder is batting .293/.337/.440 with 13 homers and 56 RBI over 93 games this season and should be the subject of trade rumors leading up to the deadline.
Jul 25 - 8:32 AM

Ryon Healy (head) went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in his return to action Monday against the Blue Jays.

Healy was held out of the starting lineup on Saturday and Sunday against the Mets after he was hit in the head by a bad-hop grounder during Friday's game, but he was back in there as the DH under AL rules on Monday. He should be good to go moving forward.
Jul 25 - 8:28 AM

Buster Posey finished 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI in Monday's loss against Pittsburgh.

The Giants were drummed 10-3, but as usual Posey was his steady self at the plate. After a slow period at the plate by his standards, Posey has collected six RBI over the past seven outings. He'll look to keep it rolling in Tuesday's game against Jameson Taillon and the Bucs.

Matt Cain was hammered for six runs - two earned - and six hits with a walk and just one strikeout over four innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

Cain managed to throw just 44 of his 72 pitches for strikes, slipping to 3-9. His defense didn't help him much in this one, as Eduardo Nunez committed an error on a ground ball to put Cain behind the 8-ball in the second inning. He never was able to recover. It's uncertain if and when he'll make another start.
