Chris Heisey (biceps) is just a few days away from resuming a rehab assignment.

Heisey had to be pulled off his rehab assignment earlier this month after having a setback, but Nationals manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday that the outfielder is "feeling better." Heisey is attempting to play through a torn right biceps tendon.

Shawn Kelley (trapezius) resumed a throwing program on Monday.

Kelley was placed on the disabled list a week and a half ago due to a strained right trapezius muscle. A timetable for his return hasn't been revealed yet, but he would seem to have a chance to make it back before the All-Star break.

Koda Glover (back) has yet to resume a throwing program.

It looked at the time a little over two weeks ago when Glover was placed on the disabled list that his absence would be a short one, but his recovery from a lower back injury is coming along more slowly than expected. At this point, a return before the All-Star break doesn't appear very likely. Glover probably would've gotten his closer job back if his absence was brief and it's still possible he could. However, it's looking like the Nationals might have already traded for a ninth-inning man by the time Glover makes it back.

Jayson Werth (foot) went through portions of the Nationals' pre-game workouts on Tuesday.

It's the first time he's done so since he landed on the disabled list at the beginning of June. Werth recently begun taking some light swings, although he can't take batting practice on the field yet and has been careful not to put too much weight on his ailing left foot. He's multiple weeks away from a return.

Chris Hatcher (shoulder) is expected to return from the disabled list when eligible on Monday "or shortly thereafter," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday.

Hatcher landed on the DL last weekend with thoracic inflammation, but it's apparently not a big issue. He holds a 4.66 ERA over 36 2/3 relief innings this season but boasts a 43/12 K/BB ratio.

White Sox transferred RHP Zach Putnam from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move allows the return of Carlos Rodon. Putnam underwent Tommy John surgery last week.

White Sox activated LHP Carlos Rodon from the 60-day disabled list.

Rodon will make his first start in the majors this season on Wednesday versus the Yankees. The left-hander has been on the shelf since spring training with biceps tendinitis. He held a 10.06 ERA over 17 rehab innings, so some patience will probably be required here.

Tyler Skaggs (oblique) will be re-evaluated Wednesday to determine whether he can continue his throwing program or needs to be shut down to do more rehabbing.

Skaggs' scheduled rehab start last Saturday was scratched due to renewed oblique soreness. He's been playing catch since then, but it's possible it will be decided Wednesday that he might need to shut it down again for a while. Either way, he's not close to being an option for the Angels' rotation.
