Dodgers OF prospect Alex Verdugo went 3-for-4 with a homer and two doubles on Monday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The homer gives Verdugo six on the year, while the doubles are numbers 12 and 13 for the outfielder, respectively. He's been on an absolute tear since being sent back down to Oklahoma City, and now has his batting average up to .360 on the year. Even in a crowded outfield, at some point the Dodgers need to give him a chance to play regularly. If/when they do, he can help a fantasy team with his ability to hit for average and a little bit of pop for good measure.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon expects Javier Baez (elbow) to be available to start in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader vs. the Dodgers.

Baez already indicated that he would likely need just one day off after taking a pitch off his elbow Sunday. Maddon planned to check with Baez and the team trainer before officially putting him in the lineup for the nightcap, but the early signs are promising.

Brock Stewart is expected to serve as the 26th man for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

The move will give the Dodgers a fresh arm out of the bullpen for the nightcap. Stewart has a 5.60 ERA over two starts and six relief appearances with the Dodgers this season.

Clayton Kershaw (back) will make a minor league rehab start Saturday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Kershaw hinted at possibly rejoining the Dodgers' rotation this weekend after completing a simulated game on Monday, but the Dodgers don't want to rush his return. Instead, he'll throw four innings in Triple-A on Saturday, setting up his activation for a probable return next Thursday against the Cubs. Kershaw has made just one start dating back to May 1, but the Dodgers have done a great job holding down the fort.
Jun 19 - 11:20 AM

Matt Kemp will bat fifth in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

It's the same lineup the Dodgers planned to use prior to Monday's postponement. The resurgent Kemp is back in the lineup after getting a day off on Sunday.
Jun 19 - 11:16 AM

Zach Davies (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Colorado Springs.

According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, the expectation is that Davies will require three rehab starts. He's already had two DL stints this year due to shoulder issues, so the Brewers want to play it safe. If all goes well, he could be back in early-to-mid July. Davies owns a 5.23 ERA over eight starts with the Brewers this season.
Jun 19 - 11:10 AM

Yu Darvish (triceps) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Wednesday.

Darvish was originally scheduled to throw on Tuesday, but it was pushed back because of the doubleheader. Either way, he's making progress. Pending how he feels coming out of the simulated game, it's possible the next step could be a minor league rehab assignment.
Jun 19 - 11:07 AM

Javier Baez (elbow) is not in the Cubs' lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

No X-rays were necessary after Baez was hit in the left elbow by a pitch on Sunday, but he was going to sit out Monday's game prior to the postponement. It's possible he could return for the second game of the doubleheader on Tuesday, but Ben Zobrist will start at second base in the first game.
